Excellent food. Try the fried chicken, you won’t be disappointed.
Great service better food!!
The best ramen in southeast Michigan! the broth is amazing and I can't find anything else like it. Nobody does a molten egg like them either!
One of the most amazing Ramen place I’ve been to in my entire life. Definitely worth a try. Their spice levels are perfect and portions too. Definitely try the Bao as well. I felt the Bao was a bit overpriced but is delicious. We had a long wait for a table and also the host messed up in noting down that we were a party of 4. But the food covered it up for us.
We really enjoyed the experience, with fresh and delicious food. Our waitress, Maja, was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We would additionally like to praise how the sushi rice is prepared, which is much more authentic than at other restaurants we have visited in Ann Arbor, with the correct amount of sushi vinegar.Update 06/05/2022: We particularly liked the chashu pork in the ramen and the duck fat fried chicken was succulent and juicy. The broth from the tan tan men was also very tasty.
* good duck oil fried chicken and takoyaki* VERY VERY VERY SALTY RAMEN omg* certain waiter was rushing us and being rude and careless: he purposefully asked my bills while I am chewing my food and stared at me. He was very upset and tried to give us a harsh tone when we didn’t sit in the first seat he assigned. The water wasn’t added, neither.
Heard about this place from a friend. We showed up at around 6pm Sunday on mother's day. The place was bursting with people. I ordered the shrimp shio, my friend got the DFFC ramen and our other friend got the salmon poke bowl. The food was absolutely amazing. Really good portion size (most places are just so big!) My broth was on point and my bowl looked so delicious upon arrival.Service was pretty slow, but we went during perhaps the busiest time of the day and ann arbor is a huge college city after all.We were seated next to a wall that was painted with a bunch of anime characters. (No gundam though!!!) Which was nice to look at and call out all the characters we knew.We will be back! Earlier in the day though haha.
MUST try this place in Ann Arbor! The staff are very welcoming and professional. The food is incredible!Matthew was phenomenal! He made the experience at Slurping Turtle fun and enjoyable. We are very excited that this place has re-opened and are looking forward to coming back!If you do not eat Pork, I highly recommend the Red Curry Ramen. You cannot go wrong! Chicken Gyoza and spirit-free cocktails are also delicious.
I love this place. Living in Ann Arbor for all my life, I was so excited when Slurping Turtle came to downtown. They have great food and great appetizers, and the experience there reminds me of a ramen bar in Japan. I'm so glad they're finally reopening after COVID. Highly recommend!
The best spot for ramen! My sister and I have been coming here for a while now and so we were thrilled to see they have reopened and immediately met up for a bowl! It’s been too long, and always amazing.
