Loved everything about this place. The food is killer and so is the service. Great choice for a celebratory dinner. We will be back.
The ambience was great and the ppl were so friendly.
One of the top seafood restaurants in Ann Arbor.I tried 2 menus here, namely king crab leg half portion and also seafood risoto. The seafood risoto was delicious with the clam and prawns. But for the crab leg, the portion is not too big
The 1 star is because the food was delicious. The service was horrible. When you go out to eat, you pay for the experience, which was ruined for us because we witnessed how well other customers were treated as we were repeatedly neglected. Our waiter Eric seemed friendly and brought our drinks out right away. We ordered our appetizer as soon as he brought out the drink and asked for the bread basket which he said he would bring right out. When he came back(without the bread basket) we asked a question about one of the dishes and once he answer the question, despite us knowing what we wanted to order, we weren’t able to communicate this to him because he abruptly walked away, saying he’ll go grab our bread basket. He then walked over to the table behind us. He was still talking to the people at that table about 10 minutes later when the manager brought us our appetizer out. I asked the manager for the bread basket. Which was brought to us fairly quickly. Another near 10 minutes passed and we were done with our appetizer when Eric finally came to ask us how we were doing and we we’re finally able to order our main courses. He again said he’ll be right back out with the raw oysters(which he was not. It took another 5 minutes before he brought them out.) We then had to wait for our meals to be prepared. After waiting for another 15+ minutes I went and spoke with the manager. I told him we didn’t want to reduce Eric’s tip, because we didn’t want to encourage any bias that our waiter may possibly hold. The manager replied “I’m glad you came to talk to me because I don’t want you to reduce his tip. I’ll take care of it”. We still added a 20 percent tip, but I also added a message because of the negligent treatment. We will not be dining here again.
The best part of the visit was watching my grandson enjoy his Paella. WE arrived for our 4:15 reservation. Only one table was occupied. The very unfriendly and silent Maitre d took us to our table clear in the back between 2 kitchen doors. Our waiter was very pleasant. One of the dishes we ordered ws shrimp.scampi style. First a small bowl of cole slaw was plunked down. later came a large white dish with 7 or so shrimp rolling around the plate. There was nothing else on the p late and it was visually ugly!! The shrimp were undercooked. They were sent back and when brought back, they had obviously been recooked (should have been replaced) They were like rubber. And then a small white plate was set down with chunks of potato. Not hot ,not good. Appetite gone! Food and much money wasted. Very disappointing...unnecessarily.
Excellent service. Great food! Thoroughly enjoyable dinner sitting in a high booth in the bar.
The twin lobster tails were INCREDIBLE! The best I’ve ever had! Every single item we ordered was delicious and worth all the calories. Even the redskin potatoes were perfect. No seasoning needed and I typically add salt to everything. Additionally, our server Mike was spot on. Made wonderful thoughtful recommendations and just went above and beyond. His service was the best we’ve had in a long time. Amazing lunch and we highly recommend! We will be back for restaurant week!
Friendly staff! Mike R. was great! They don’t point to where restrooms are, they walk you to the area.Great food! The Shrimp Tostada was one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had.
My family brought me to Real Seafood for my birthday and the happy surprise was that it is restaurant week. Between the 4 of us, we tried almost everything on the menu and it was all excellent. Our server was very professional and also surprised me with the birthday greeting in the picture. I feel special. When we got home my husband was sorting through an old box of junk and found this matchbook... before area codes!
The food is amazing and a great value (delicious and generous). If I had to pick one item to recommend it would be the appetizer of steamed mussels & clams in a white wine butter steam bath...PERFECTION!! 3 people ate & we had 2 apps, soup or salad each & a main. For mains we had the fish & chips, the perch and a chicken dish. Everyone loved their food and the service was good. Will be back for more steamers. (& this review is coming from a Massachusetts gal, born & raised on seafood). You can eat & be full for ~$25pp without a starter or alcohol or go all out like we did on a 3 course meal & it was ~$40 per person before tip. Danny was a great server. Workers all wore masks. Thanks for a great night.
