I got a chicken shwarma from them via online pickup. What I like is the fries add another layer of texture to the sandwich. I think the chicken itself is pretty bland and dry, it's only saved by the garlic sauce they add in. Also the pita was grilled but hard, which is not my preference. There is an option on their website that says they'll fulfill the order with curbside pickup. I chose that option but when I called I was denied that because "they had no one to bring it out." Just be aware of this type of service.
This man is a genius! I come here once a week for lunch and it's like beautiful clockwork: I call, I order, I have ten-fifteen minutes to get there, I arrive, pay, and receive my Chicken or Eggplant Pita (with a Mountain Dew), and I'm on my way. Of course, the food is delicious – especially if you ask for extra garlic, you're getting a flavor kick unlike most other offerings within a softball throw of campus. I've never had to wait even one second, I've never gotten cold or even cool food, I've never gotten the wrong order – as I say, it's like beautiful clockwork. Various administrative offices at the University should do an in-depth study of this man's business model and apply it across the street – everything would run smoother!
Was recommended this place by a friend and I highly recommend it as well now! Got a falafel pita with garlic sauce. It was nicely grilled with an excellent assortment of veggies. The garlic sauce was very delicious as well! I'm excited to try them again as they have a huge menu with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
Great staff, food and prices.
All in all I’d say good. I have some comments though. The shawarma meats I think are over seasoned. To the point where they’re gritty because there’s so much powdered seasoning stuck to the them. Second, the fattoush dressing is no dressing imo. It’s oil infused with paprika and herbs. No salt, no lemon. No tartness whatsoever. Just vegetables and herb oil. I have never seen a fattoush “dressing” like this. Last, too much paprika on just about everything. I guess the chef/cook really likes paprika, but in this case “less is more”. I’d really give it 3.5 stars, but there isn’t a way, so I rounded up.
I got a chicken Schwarma & it was really weird! Barely any chicken in it but a ton of cold old French fries? When I ordered it asked if I wanted lettuce instead of fries for a fee. I didn’t know what that meant. Well here’s what it means, you get old cold fries inside your schwarma. & if you want lettuce instead you have to pay xtra for it. I’m not a fan of fries in my schwarma… too much curry used too. The taste was over powering.
This place is BS. They do not have traditional meat rotisserie for gyro and Shawarma.. they put French fries in their sandwich to cut cost. Only plus is that it did not make me sick.. hopefully
Consumed a ridiculous amount of their schwarma wraps last year as a student, always had a good experience. Fries in a wrap is kinda odd but they'll swap it for lettuce if you ask. Pricing was pretty reasonable, pretty consistent quality, and the cajun fries were pretty solid as well. Sometimes delivery services would mess up, but direct orders were always solid.
I ordered chicken shawarma and was not expecting fries in it. It doesn't have any mediterranean flavors.
Honestly was disappointed with the amount of food that they gave because I love eating hefty meals and for 13, it wasn't enough. However, the quality was pretty good after making some different combinations with the hummus pita and chicken. 1 item might not be enough for a full meal
