Great spot for both having handmade noodles with broth and having Boba! Everyone in our group of 4 enjoyed the food. They have different noodle size options (since they're hand made) and they also have Gluten free noodles. Clean spot, with indoor seating, fast service, modern ambience. Almost all of the seats have views of the street which was a plus.Clean bathrooms.
The Laksa was legit and pretty authentic. The broth was a bit diluted but it is pretty good. Also ordered their signature pork rib noodle soup. It's not bad. I think this place is worth a visit.
Noodles hard to digest because they are too hard and made of straight flour. I always got stomach upset because of the noodles. Good flavors, though.Sometimes, they gave you a poorly presented bowl of noodles: one piece of bok choy, little meat, and several beans for Chongqing noodles. I asked for a new one and became happy.Handmade dumplings recipe fresh and good. But there should be something wrong with the flour because I cannot digest their noodles…
I've been to Lan City Noodle Bar twice now. The first time I ordered the Peking Sauce with Pork, and this time I ordered the Roasted Duck Noodle Soup. I've also tried a few of their appetizers and boba. Their boba is great. Their food, however, is underwhelming. I love how the hand-pulled noodles taste, but besides that, there's nothing special about the food. There are better noodle bars in Ann Arbor (albeit at a slightly higher price).
Their food reminds me of home and I don’t know what more I could ask for. Korean Fried Chicken was crispy with a lot of meat on each wing and the duck noodle broth was so rich and savory. The signature beef noodles+fried tofu noodles are great too! Don’t forget the chili oil and the Chinese vinegar. They had me hooked with their fantastic food but I became a customer for life after I asked about buying one of their t-shirts and they made it happen! Please support this hard-working and local, family-owned business.
I got the N1b beef brisket hand pulled ($12). There was a good amount of the meat and noodles. Personally, I thought the noodles were tougher to chew than expected but that wasn't a big issue for me. One bowl fills you up pretty well.
I had their Signature beef soup and taro milk tea. The aromas alone had me salivating when I walked in. My soup was delicious, the beef was very tender. The broth was light with a depth of flavor. The Taro milk tea hit the spot as I just love taro. I already cannot wait to go back to try more dishes.
I was glad to see Lan City opened a new location. Their noddles were bouncy and flavorful. I tried their passion fruit lime tea bubble tea which was also good. However, we always order shrimp, but somehow there’s always other meats that get added by error which is upsetting. This time, we found chicken in our shrimp noodle dish. I wish they were more careful for people with dietary restrictions.
Hand pulled noodles, the perfect amount of heat on the spice, yummy elements or meat/seafood/tofu. Pretty to look at too! Limited menu but with options for all flavor profiles. Really authentic (I went with someone who is Chinese so that isnt just my opinion). Side dishes were yummy. The process of ordering to picking up was easy. Everything is numbered, and labeled in chinese and english for customer ease. Great amount of product for reasonable price. I even had leftovers. The bathroom was clean too! Bonus!
So good! Short wait, even at lunch time, and the food was hot and delicious once ready. You definitely get your money worth, the portions are massive. And they don’t price gouge on door dash if you’re needing delivery. Will definitely be back.
