I totally love that I have started coming here again! I hadn't been here since childhood til last week. Now I am going to be a weekly customer! The waitresses are very friendly and the cooks are excellent. And the sous chef is a very nice man! Not to mention the great food that are large portions. I eat half when i get it and half later. Thanks to everyone at Fleetwood for still being an awesome friendly welcoming place w wonderful food!
We lived and worked in A2 throughout the 1970s and ate at the Fleetwood frequently. Then we moved to another state and hadn't been back in 40+ years. We had an occasion to stop in A2 for the day and decided the Fleetwood was a Must Do! The ambience is still 1970s (awesome memories) and the menu hasn't changed much (thankfully.) We all got breakfast and, well, it just wasn't quite what we remembered. The hash browns didn't have that nice brown crust from the griddle and the bread seemed to be 'buttered' with corn oil or something. Eggs were perfect but the bacon was too rubbery. Would I go there again? Absolutely! Memories trump (sorry for that word) rubbery bacon every time!
All I have to say is HIPPY HASH! This tried and true diner always hits the spot after a long night out or early in the morning running around Ann Arbor. It just feels like a legit, home style joint that's rare to find nowadays... I highly recommend it. Outdoor seating is a nice touch too :)
I've had mixed experiences here. It's loved by locals, but the waitstaff are incredibly rude to you if you aren't an Ann Arbor townie. This explains why some people give 5 stars and others give 1 star. Based solely on the food, I find their prices aren't justified. However, if you're in a bind late at night, they're there. Service ranges from terrible to great. I avoid this place because I've seen one of the servers scream at people on a handful of occasions. It's not "cool" to be a jerk. Especially when there are loads of other restaurants to choose from.
Welp!! So last time I had a burger was from right next door. I had some time before work so I came in. I got the bacon cheeseburger. I added an extra patty. Was I impressed?? After blimpy gave me dismal hopes. I definitely was. The burger was cooked beautifully. I am definitely a fan bc of it and the service. Will be back to try more stuff.
Very friendly and open atmosphere, if you enjoy punk rock in anyway defenetly give this place a visit. The food is honest and good for its price.
Hippie Hash for the win!Greek salad also was excellent.
The very best place to eat in Ann Arbor fast and friendly service
This was a tough one for me. Being it was my first time eating here I’m hoping my experience was a fluke. Wait staff was terrible. Once my food was delivered the waiter never returned! No refills and no bill. I had to walk up to the register to see about paying my tab. My breakfast was very good and I highly recommend getting the hippie hash browns. Both salt and pepper shakers were close to empty and the ketchup bottle was also close to empty so this made me think their no attention towards their condiments. Odds are I will not return. Fleetwood got my one shot and overall I say it was a miss opportunity for a 5 star review.
A little chilly the night I decided to visit and sit in the outdoor seating but for my first time there it was a great experience. Loads of college kids in and out, all kinds of things going on all around you. Then your food comes out and it tastes amazing. Had the Half and Half with cheese and fries. A great meal at a great place.
