Rice in mujadara was mealy; lentils were mushy. The dish was like a dry, stale, bean and rice porridge. Tasted like butter(?) had been added to the dish. No crispy onion. Loubieh (green beans in tomato sauce) tasted like commercial refrigerator burn, despite the woman’s assurance it had been made that morning (odd). Paid almost $20 for the two dishes. Had to throw both away they were so bad. Worst food I’ve had in years. Woman also warmed food in cheap clear plastic containers in the microwave without asking. Would have preferred to eat both cold. There’s much better to be had in AA for $20.

I've enjoyed this place for more then 15 years but haven't been in while. When they came to my mind I was excited about going to the counter and ordering all my favorites but to my disappointment they weren't open to the public due to lack of help. As a family business, I wondered if this is true or just the standard excuse that many use to push off your disappointment. Yet I was willing to conform to their system of ordering outside and waited for my over $35 order. They did come quickly with my order as I was the only one waiting outside. Even with this little bleep in the experience, I was still excited to get home and enjoy my favorites but to my major disappointment most of the items were not so good; the Kefta was dry and the Cucumber Yogurt tasted like the plastic container. The Spinach Devine was still able to hold its own. Usually I enjoy more then one meal with my ala carte ordering style but I had to throw it all in the trash. I'm only willing to go back if the deli/bakeries counter is open again to the public and I can see my options. I'm not really to give up yet on one of my A2 favorites so please Exotic take this feedback to heart!

Chicken Shawarma was extremely dry and burnt. It was as dry as jerky. By far the worst I ever had.

Used to work on the North side of Ann Arbor and was a frequent lunch customer. Now I dream about their food and try to create reasons to visit again. All the dishes in the case are fresh, flavorful and feel innately healthy. There are so many favorites but my go-tos are green beans with garlic, eggplant baba, spinach divine, cabbage type salad with pomegranate dressing, and mjaddra. Chicken fattoush salad is also plentiful with great dressing. Sooo, good. I've had catered meals from here as well and even catered my own birthday party once. Perfect little hidden gem, good place to take your vegan friends.

Wonderful food. True home cooked middle eastern food!

One of my favorite places to get carry out in Ann Arbor!! I am addicted to their Syrian Burritos and to their tabboleh baladi. But then again I love the okra, the cauliflower salad, the beet salad, the falafel sandwich… everything I’ve tried. And their desserts are amazing!! The owner really cares about her customers and the quality of the food she serves. In these pandemic days she is providing wonderful service as a one woman enterprise. Highly recommend if you enjoy delicious food!!

Best meat pies in Michigan, hands down.

Best food anywhere around! Delicious

I have lived near Dearborn all my life and the spicy chicken shawarma is how I imagine the food in Jannah (Heaven) will taste like. Thank you for this paradise in Ann Arbor.

Great Managers, Food, Price & Service!!!
