Been traveling to Ann Arbor for several years but somehow overlooked this little spot in the Nickels Arcade. Phenomenal coffee shop. It's difficult to express how great they are, but I'll try... Comet does everything right. Service is polite and gracious, venue although small, is perfect for hanging out and chatting in between whatever you may be doing. Menu has all the important stuff, in more of a coffee purist way. Great selection of teas as well (the forest tea is exceptionally delightful). And of course, the coffee. Top tier. Artfully presented. Excellence in their craft. One of the finest coffee shops in the US.
Such a wonderful place. Their drip coffee is the best! We stopped by on our way to detroit. And I will go back for sure!
The place outside was really pretty. I went there with my boyfriend and we got an ice mocha and special coffee they have, also iced. The coffee was really bad, it didnt have sugar at all, but they have a place inside where you can put yourself sweeteners. We tried to sweeten our coffe but it just didnt taste the same. The price for our coffee was about 10$. I will not come here again
The coffee wasn't amazing but wasn't bad. Everything here was really healthy and maybe I'm just not used to it.
While not a regular, I've been to Comet Coffee many times and consider it among the best coffee shops in town. However, I was surprised this weekend when the barista insisted that a flat white is the same drink as a latte and seemed to imply that I didn't know what I was ordering. I'm sure I've ordered flat whites at Comet before. If those working that day didn't know how to make one I wish they just would have said so. I received a nice latte, but the interaction left a bad impression.
Classy (but easy-to-miss) little coffee shop in the arcade. Does a great pourover if you have the time, or a smooth cappuccino if you're in a rush. Their baked good are worth trying too.

I've been going to Comet since it opened about 10 years ago and it's always such a treat! They always have new coffees to try and I love the tasting notes. So much care for the coffee and it really shows in the final product!
