I drive for a living so I end up at all kinds of restaurants and diners for the first time. I happened upon the mall here and I figured they had a food court that I would go eat in. Well they didn't really have a food court but they did have this California Pizza Kitchen.To be honest I wasn't expecting much. And when I first walked in my first impression was that they were trying to look too classy for a place inside of a mall and they were probably doing it in order to price gouge. I was wrong.Now the place was actually extremely nice. It was also very clean. It had an open stone fireplace for the pizza as well which really gives it a great taste and is my preferred method of cooking pizza. The menu is pretty much just pasta and pizza but it is a pizza place after all.The staff was super friendly and very quick to help me. My server seemed so happy and polite that her joy and positive attitude was infectious. I know I did what I was ordering says it was just me but she helped me out without any hesitation it was quick to bring me my food and to refill my soda and was super polite and professional the entire time.Now the pizzaVery rarely have I given a review where I mentioned that you can taste the freshness. And this place I want to say in my current experience has top them all. There are no words for how fresh it tasted. I didn't even realize you could actually literally taste the freshness like that. Pizza is just supposed to be pizza but the pizza here was so intense, so delicious, that I actually have this place on my stop list for the next time I'm in Ann Arbor.On top of that the pricing was not bad at all like I thought it would be. I definitely give this place five stars and they deserve every bit of it. If you want delicious and fresh pizza and friendly knowledgeable staff this is the place you're looking for.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all costs. I was discriminated against do to my color and race. I was seated in the back of restaurant next to bathrooms. When I asked to be moved to another seat which was a booth the server said those are reserved to larger groups. This is despite only two tables being occupied in the restaurant. I asked if it was too much to accommodate. The waiter asked me to leave the restaurant since she presumed I was being difficult . This was due to being a person of color and the waitress having extreme prejudice.
My husband, kids, and I have come here for lunch/dinner a few times in the last few months. I am honestly blown away at how delicious the food is! The soups are wonderful, as are the pizzas, ranch dressing, club egg rolls, and so on. They are still dealing with understaffing, but we have rarely had to wait too long for our meals, and have never had to wait to sit down. The mall isn't exactly the most busy, so I'm hoping this place can stick around for years to come!
The food was amazing the service was also Great☺️
The Food concactions were a bit strange~ bland food ~ not much flavor~very pricey for the amount of food you receive ~ we enjoyed the waiter~ not sure if we will be back ~

I have been coming here for over ten years and the food is fantastic. I don’t write reviews but felt compelled to with my experience . Today I came here with my very cranky baby and the staff was so understanding and accommodating. Absolutely outstanding service from our waitress, Alexandra, and the manager was nice enough from the very start to give us a toy car to help calm our baby and tell us he understands and has two little ones. Thank you so much CPK staff!
The Service wasn't good. The waiter was nice just couldn't get our order correct.It was my 1st visit there. From my understanding we should have been given bread ? & oil.Never happened.Our drink orders were not correct. After several tries.One of the people in our party did get her meal until after a manager was asked for. The manager did more work than our server ?.However we as a group had a great time I. Spite of the fact that the service.
Went there for chips and salsa, after 20 minutes ask for it to go and paid for it never got my food had to leave, really a half an hour for chips and salsa to go four wait staff lots of cooks no food.Glad I didnt buy any gift certificates!
Great pizzas . I really enjoyed the service and food.
