Had a lovely dinner with colleagues from Michigan Engineering. I had the Apertivo and pulled pork sandwich with the BBQ chips. A little drier than desired, you definitely want some moisture in the pork so you're not overloading on the vinegar & bbq sauce. Shared appetizers of Pretzel and cheese dip, and combo baskets of fried pickles and onions with dip. These were all great tasting and very fresh. A shout out to Jeremy for super friendly table service and fast turnaround on everything from drinks to the food.
We had an ok experience here, the beer was very good, as were the deep fried pickles and onions. I had the BBQ trio of brisket, sausage, and chicken, all three were VERY dry. The mac and cheese lacked in flavor and was cold, the sweet potato fries were decent but neither were worthy or writing home again. (One thing to mention is that I smoke my own food at home so I am use to fresh off the smoker, whereas businesses such as this cannot cook to order.)
We drove 45 min to go here. The food was pretty good but service was mediocre at best. We went on a quiet Sunday and the sever wasn’t willing to split our check into 2 groups. Also it drives me crazy when we’re spending $20-30/person and a server doesn’t have a clue who ordered what and brings each drink or dish with a “who ordered xx?” This was also true for our flights of beer. At a brewery I’d expect 1) the server to know who ordered which flight and 2) to at least tell me which beer is which. Beer was just ok so maybe it didn’t matter.
We went for lunch before Michigan Hoops so we were first people there. Host was nice and we obviously got a table right away. Waitress was friendly and informative as it was our first time there. I got the Burger with an egg and my wife had pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent and we will be back
The receptionist was super nice and helpful. The food is medium not too delicious I had better. There was a waiting time for 15 minutes which the receptionist already told us then we waited for 30 minutes at that time we said if we could place our order for a dine in while we wait and we did after paying and placing our order. After we ordered the receptionist showed us to our table. The waitress was super rude she went to the manager and told him that if they placed the order at the reception then they will not get an dine in service she came to us and told us that the manager will bring your order. The manager came in after 10 minutes with our orders in togo bags and asked us to leave because there is a miss understanding and we are sitting in a table where actual waiting people are waiting for.He did not apologize for the miss understanding and said I understand what happened and said it was the receptionist fault but you have to leave.
Our server was awesome. They were really busy and she still took good care of our table and got our order and food fast. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend!! Great atmosphere too.
In all honesty the BBQ RIBS were a little under cooked or tough . They weren't fall off the bone tender and they used too much smoke flavor for my taste but were huge servings a good inch thick slab . Their French fries were delicious/excellent. Good flavor or seasonings not too soft but not too crunchy for someone with no teeth. The coleslaw was bland , it didn't have the hint of sweet id expect, the pops well they suckd but thats because of city water all I could taste was the chloride little syrup . The hospitality was excellent. Service a little slow but they were buisey and under staffed. I understand. The hamburger my wife got was thick big burger but she said it was lacking in flavor. All in all for a little hole in the wall pub possibly micro brewery the food was pretty good but RIBS didn't compare to Texas road houses. They have fantastic ribs . Sounded like live music or just a good PA SYSTEM . It was a fun experience but not worth the 4hr plus drive from Bath to Ann harbor and back in a blizzard Feb 24th . I dont drink so I can't comment on their brews !!!
Ended up in Ann Arbor for a work thing. We asked around for a good spot for dinner and this place was recommended. It did not disappoint. Service was fast, waiter was super helpful and friendly, food was really good. They are a brew house as well, but we had a long drive after dinner so we didn't get to try any local craft beer :( the smoked Pulled Pork, turkey and sausage was super good and very flavorful.
Got a takeout of the Mac and cheese and some 3 meats / 2 sides. Pulled pork was excellent. Sausage was okay and I liked the turkey. A large portion for the Mac and cheese. Pick up was quick and easy
I’ve had bbq in many cities, (KC, Houston, Denver etc) and I have to say Blue Tractor was just as good as those cattle town bbq! I honestly didn’t expect to find good bbq in Ann Arbor!
