Quality went down ALOT. Got this pizza delivered today - completely burnt. Cheese is burnt, Crust is burnt. worse pizza we ever got anywhere! How would ANYONE put this thing in a box to be delivered for a customer? And it costs $15!!! Are you kidding me? Management should take a serious look on who works there . Went to the garbage.
Was in Ann Arbor for appointments at Michigan Medicine and had lunch at Bigalora with different friends two days in a row. Absolutely love their food and service as well as leisurely meals while catching up with friends that I haven't seen since the start of the current pandemic. It was a go to destination when our daughters came to visit when I worked in the Pediatric Endocrinology Division at the main campus from 2011 to 2018; first exposure to their food was at a food truck for a special event held on the University of Michigan Campus. We were glad when the brick and mortar location opened!
One of the few places in town that offers an outdoor, heated igloo. The waiter is masked and never comes into your igloo. The igloo has a little window (can be zipped shut when not in use) that they use to pass you your food / drinks. Everything we ordered was very good. We usually go there for pizza but ordered pasta this time around and were very happy that we did.
Everything was good enough for what it costs. The pasta was not so expensive but was tasty and with good portion. The pistachio pizza was exceptional. Salad was also good. This place is an affordable but delicious Italian fare.
Very covid-safe! We were looking for a safe environment to go out to eat. We made a reservation for the outdoor igloos on their website. All staff were masked. The igloos were so cute! Lights and a little heater made a cozy environment. It was still chilly, so we had on sweaters and sat on our coats, since the metal chairs were frosty! There’s a little window that zips, where the wait staff can hand the food and drinks without entering the igloo and letting the heat out. We had an awesome night, highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe dining out experience!
If you want to taste how Italian wood fired pizza, come here. Even the pasta was WoW. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are great.
On Google it says that the staff wear masks. I dined there yesterday and NONE of the staff was wearing masks. I felt extremely unsafe especially that the waiter had to get close to me to get my order since the restaurant was busy and noisy. I didn't feel safe there and I don't think I will dine or get take out from them anymore (at least until Covid is over). Moreover, I made a reservation a couple of days before and they sent me three reminders. Nevertheless, when I got there, they told me that they don't take reservations and that they made a mistake. They told me that they called me to let me know. They never called me!! They did seat me within 10 minutes after my arrival.
You want to reduce climate change, be good to your heart - and animals, don’t come here. We didn’t get the mozzarella. We didn’t get the Gorgonzola = no change in pizza cost BUT we did request vegan cheese therefore add $4. This is a little, but very common restaurant behavior for those who don’t care about your planet
I used to be a regular here. Not anymore. The service at this restaurant, particularly from the host, is terrible. I drove over on Friday night and arrived at 9:20 pm for a late dinner. The person who is acting as host told me she was no longer allowed to seat ables, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. She wouldn’t even allow us to sit at the bar. The place theoretically closes at 10 pm! What a continuing disappointment? I miss the old days.
This is a 5 star review of the staff making a mistake and how well they took care of it. I had ordered carry out and arrived on time to pick up the order. The staff accidentally gave my order to someone else as I was sitting there. They immediately told me they messed up, fast tracked a fresh order, and offered a refund without question. Excellent customer service and training to realize they made a mistake and then fix it right away. Also, the pizzas were excellent.
