A new favorite -- we had been here before the Plague, but hadn't been back since we started going out to eat again, until we happened to be on that side of town and ... oh my heavens! So good! The menu is typical for a Coney Island, but the cook(s) lift it above the norm. I haven't really tried the breadth of the menu, because their chicken lemon soup is easily the best I have ever had, and I could order that every day and not get tired of it. My granddaughter, being more experimental, has tried several dishes and enjoyed each one.
My new favorite Coney! Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff, excellent server, quick & delicious food. They totally impressed me with speed of food, taste, and friendliness. I'm coming back! Lots of options on the menu w/o the menu being overwhelming.
Delicious food and excellent service! I have placed several large orders days ahead of time for work meetings and they have always had the orders ready when we arrive to pick them up. Everything is nicely wrapped and easy to pass out during meetings. I highly recommend them!
Don't get me wrong, the service was good and the ambience was quiet and peaceful. That being said, we're talking about food here. When it comes to food this place just does not cut it. The eggs? Weak. The toast? Weak. Heck, let's combine the two. We ordered French toast and that was Hercules on opposite day. Weaaaaak.In any case, three taste is just not it but if you're looking for a cheap spot for quick, mediocre eats, it's a spot to consider.
Wonderful new location. the decor is immaculate. great food, great service!
First visit to the Alpha diner was a great experience. The Chicken, Lemon, Rice soup was delicious. The chicken gyro with feta was scrumptious. The waiter, Dylan, was one of the best waiters I've ever had. The diner is clean and spacious and I'll be going back soon.

This was a wonderful restaurant! The staff were all very friendly!!! Even though when we were here we had 3 kids 4 and under.....they were very accommodating!!! All of the food came out fresh and warm....my daughter got the kids pancake meal and was surprised when her pancake looked like Mickey Mouse!!!! I enjoyed my Greek salad and Saganaki for an appetizer....plus when we were done with our meal the waitress brought over Christmas goodie bags for the kids!!!! We are going to try and make it to their Santa event next Saturday!!! Not only because of Santa but for the delicious food they have!!! I highly recommend stopping in and giving Alpha Diner a try!!!!

I had an alpha omelette with gyro and my fiance had banana pancakes with syrup and butter.Everything was good until we had to pay and I saw the options for the tip started from 25%, 30% and 40% and custom. I didn't see why I have to pay 25% so I used the custom and paid 22%.I just don't understand why they wanted people tip from 25%?
