My friends the negative reviews are straight up false. As a customer of years I'll tell you why.I have been eating here regularly for years, probably more often than I eat at home (am I ashamed? maybe? ..nah). There are multiple Ahmo's locations and the Stone School Rd one is easily the best one. (now I won't argue that some of these reviews are for other locations by mistake. If it's any testament to the location - I have eaten at all of them and only come back to Stone School Rd.)I have not ONCE had my order messed up (except when it was my own fault inputting it online). In fact, on the rare occasion that I even messed up ordering I have been met with kindness. The food here is banging, and you are missing out if you don't give them a try. Here are my personal rec's:-Chili-Chicken Lemon Soup-Any variety of the grilled chicken/veggie plates-THE HUMMUS!
Well this was one of my favorite places until tonight. I come here every week with the gentleman that I take care of. I commented this evening on how hot the soup was I it was scolding hot and I just spit it out I thought they should turn the temperature down but instead I just got rude remarks from the cook mocking me saying it’s soup and just being very rude I won’t be coming back here to spend money.
My first experience with Ahmo's was at this location -- if all of them are like this, I think I've found another new Ann Arbor staple! The staff is super friendly, and at this location my friends and I found that there was ample seating for our group as well. The menu contains all the standard favorites you'd expect from a Gyro spot, and the prices are reasonable (especially for Ann Arbor). The food itself is solid, and tastes authentic & natural -- big pros when getting a quick bite at a casual spot. Outside of the taste itself, the quantity is massive; on my my most recent visit I got an Ahmo's bowl, and it was way too much food for me to finish in one sitting.Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Ahmo's!
Great food. I love the Lemon chicken rice soup
I bought onion rings here. It was not cooked properly. I made a complaint, they are worst in response. The guy who spoke was rude
Delicious gyros and nice crispy fries and onion rings. And the staff is always pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed a great takeout meal
Ahmo's keep disappointing. Rude staff and service with negligence. They are likely to forget major items in your order (not talking about garlic sauce or pita - major items). This is a problem especially when delivered to your door (because the order comes hidden in a doggy bag and you don't see it until you open it). The worst is that when you call them about what they forget, they don't even apologize or deliver extra - they don't even care when you ask them if you can pick the missing items in person. This happened at least twice and experience the same attitude. They are HORRIBLE!
Horrible food, no flavor at all! Hummus was the worst non flavor I've ever tasted, no garlic, no oil, gyro sauce was old and runny again no flavor at all, now for the service, by far one I'd the slowest around a good 20 min to wait for over priced no flavor food .
One of our favorite places. Nice people, fast service, delicious Middle Eastern food. We've been going to this Ahmo's at Stone School and Ellsworth for years.
Ahmos is my favorite Gyros restaurant in Washtenaw county!!!And they have the Best fries!
