My wife and I came here in 2017 on our third date before we were married. We had an excellent meal back then but that's all I remember. I was more into the girl I was with!We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a bite to eat and a drink. They have an impressive amount of beers and cider on tap.My wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered their reuben sandwich on pumpernickel. OMG! Look at that sandwich!What I received was a corned beef sandwich on rye because they forgot my sauerkraut. That was easy to fix though, our waitress came back with a side dish of sauerkraut that it was able to add to the sandwich.The food was fantastic, the drinks were cold, and the service was fantastic!Now that we go to restaurants looking for a meal and not our next date, we are definitely going to be coming back more often!
If you’re from Detroit I’m sure it’s fine. I am not from Detroit and it was good enough; which is a notch below fine but still, good enough. The waitress was nice. Very nice in fact for a human that has to live in Detroit. I’m confident that prior to 1960 Detroit was great, and it’s not the fault of the waitress that it has lost 2/3 of its population and much of the city exists in ruin and other such decay. The stadium/arena area is nice enough; a notch below fine but still, nice enough. It’s still a place that matters, sort of. I mean to say that I’m not sure if Detroit matters, but the waitress matters. She definitely matters and I hope good things happen for her. The soda was on its way to flat but was mitigated by condiments that seemed to be kept at the perfect dipping and spreading temperature. It’s possible that they were using the cheaper Diet RC Cola and just saying it was Diet Coke. I’m not offended though as it seems like a demographically appropriate restaurant practice. I’d go back, but more for the Americana than the food.
We ordered the sandwiches. I got the Reuben, it was good but there was A TON OF BREAD. I wished I would have gotten the Reuben panini after I got my order I just prefer my sandwiches grilled. My husband got the pastrami on a kaiser roll. After he got his order he wished he would have ordered the Primer rib, we were there on a Saturday and on Friday and Saturdays they have Prime Rib. The food was good. The service was great. The place was not very busy so it wasn't very noisy which I appreciated and it was very clean.
It was great and courteous service and the food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the walleye fish dinner???
Service was good, food portions are insane but only okay tasting. Got the Reuben and was very bland. Decent place for a drink though. Prices were decent for the amount of food you got. Over all pretty okay.
We went to the Allen Park location tonight and were seriously disappointed. My mother and I ordered the Philly cheese steak. There were blobs of canned “nacho” cheese on top of a mediocre bun and flavorless meat. My father’s prime rib sandwich was slightly better but not high quality. My grandson’s pretzel burger was the best looking meal of all. I was trying to take my parents out for a nice meal before I left town and I was not happy with our experience.
Really good food. We had an appetizer of the fried mushrooms and they were fried to perfection.Got the 12 oz ribeye with baked potato and green beans with a side salad...I forgot to get pictures of the steak though ?. However, it was very good. I got it cooked medium, and it was cooked just the way I like it.Service was great.Handicap accessable
Everything was delicious! Ordered 2 Steaks and they were cooked perfectly to order and tasted great. Big portions for the price. Service was pleasant too!
Wife had the pretzel bun burger and I had corn beef and Swiss sliders. Everything was great. Only negative is the burger didn't come with fries and the side of fries was like $4 and massive. Could easily charge half as much and be a much smaller basket.
Tasty ❤️ I love their fish&chips , a lot . Great fish and no silly coating as at other places. Good customer service. It is also nice and warm inside ! I love it when I can relax and enjoy my dinner.
