Food was much better than expected. Strip mall chinese food is often basic and sub par, this was so much better than that. We had pad that, family style tofu, beef teriyaki, pork fried rice, and chicken and vegetable. Everything was very good.
Lunch for two. Chicken dish came with white globs of a gelatinous nature that were so absurdly salty that they needed to be spit out into the napkin. Neither of us had the slightest idea what the substance was and had to call the waitress (in her 60s?) to ask her. She insisted it was the chicken. I simply cannot be: white, gelatinous, no texture inside, no taste except overpowering salt. It just could not have been chicken. We are both sti stunned and have no idea what came on that plate. The waitress's reaction was to walk away. We should have gotten up and walked out at this point but we decided to make the best of it. Pushed the white gloves aside. Other vegetables were visually recognizable but had a bizarre, unnatural texture similar to very stiff Jell-O. The only taste was salt. They were pushed aside leaving the pork fried rice. It was rubbery, as if chewing flecks of rubber. Other lunch order consisted of two very flat, overly-fried crab Rangoons, a very thick egg roll that was excessively greasy, and two very thick strips of chicken teriyaki on skewers. The chicken teriyaki was the least inedible but wasn't good enough to finish. This dish also came with pork fried rice that wasn't quite as rubbery as that on the other plate, but it was also excessively greasy. I'm shocked that such low quality food actually gets served. I haven't experienced anything that comes close to this before. The food was not edible. The waitress asked how everything was when she came to collect the plates. Obviously everything wasn't great because both plates were still full. I politely but seriously said, "I've never had to say this before but everything we ordered was simply inedible. I'm shocked. And it is simply not possible that this white lumpy substance is chicken. It is so bad both of us had to spit it out." She said "Oh, sorry" very casually and without convinction and walked away. Due to the fact that small restaurants took a hot during COVID we decided to pay for what was served but we paid cash in the exact amount of the bill. The waitress was clearly part of the family that owns the place (best guess would be owner's wife) and she knew darn well that we'd been completely disappointed. Cannot. Believe. The. Horrible. Quality. Just can't believe it. The interior was dumpier than we remembered from previous visits (most recent visit before this was around 2015). Never ever going back. I actually feel like I need some kind of cleansing to wash this experience off of myself. We were both disgusted. Zero stars. Worst dining experience I've ever had, by far.
The food use to be so delicious.. now it's so bland..
So disgusted. Upside down dead flies in the dried out rice under it, never been so grossed out and feel sick after eating this food Nevermind finding flies in it after.
Mai Tai?food is great ? always comes out quick and hot ?
Salt&Pepper Shrimp is Amazing. ? Boneless ribs
This has always been my favorite and only place to get Chinese food it’s always so good, fresh and Fast deliveries. Minus the very small teriyaki sticks this time it’s still 5 stars ⭐️ ?
Food tasted bland and seemed like it might have been reheated in microwave. Hostess/Waitress was extremely rude and passive aggressive. My aunt, while waiting to use the restroom, which was repulsively dirty, witnessed her rudely kick out and confront a potential customer for using the bathroom first, grilling her to see whether she was there to purchase anything as well. Afterwards saw said customer’s party she was with go to the bar and order a drink and ask where his date went, only to find out from another patron that crazy hostess lady had scared her off. Definitely gave me, my aunt, and the rest of our group bad vibes and they not only lost those two customers, but me and my extended family as well forever in the future. We left almost immediately after them because we felt uncomfortable, definitely not the atmosphere any of us want to to return to after everything being reopened again from the pandemic shutdowns. Also the bar was wayyyyy too bright, the lighting gave me and my aunt a headache. Those bright lights are meant for closing time, not chill and enjoy a beer 9:00pm on Saturday time. Last, but not least their dart boards were barely functional and service was incredibly slow. Probably because the only waitress was busy bullying the customers, but whose to really say I guess. I don’t think Chinese takeout and dive-y bars are the best choice of a fusion theme. Be takeout or be a bar, to try to do both is ambitiously tacky.
great food great atmosphere great drinks would highly recommend
