PROS: 5 ⭐️ Service! The staff here is unbelievable. Very attentive. Sushi was good and the burrata salad I ordered was delicious!CONS: Stuff Bake Shrimp - looked great from a distance that’s why we ordered it. Once it arrived we were disappointed. It tasted like the shrimp had been under a heat lamp for hours. VERY chewy and flavorless.All in all our bill was about $170 for 2 people. With that high of a price tag you hope the food is something to rave about. It was around 8:00 pm on a Wednesday night so I don’t know if being so close to closing affected our experience.
Have not been here in years and it was enroute to our destination so... what the heck, stop in. cocktails were great and the food very good. we really liked the crab cakes.
Food is amazing!!! Service is great!! Best Lobster Roll I've ever had. And I've been to Maine quite a few times over the years and gotten fresh off the boat and Sole still blows that away! Make sure you have deep pockets though. Definitely expensive but well worth every penny spent.
Food was good!! Staff was nice and attentive for being a busy night...The restaurant is very loud, hard to hear who is at your table. The lobster risotto was very good for 35 dollars. Crab Rangoon was mediocre. Wellfleet Oysters were good as well.
I really liked my experience there. I was greeted as soon as we walked in. Once we were seated, we were greeted once again. Also, told that we would be helped in a moment which is huge for me. It shoes that I was seen and then acknowledged. So I did not have to wonder when our servers were going to assist us. Only thing was probably being served something that was asked to be mindful, however the manager in a very charismatic way apologized. I appreciated it. The food was good. Services was amazing. Look forward to going back. Thank you. Highly recommend.
It's a seafood restaurant and I always order, for an appetizer, their fresh, never frozen, but perfectly chilled, shrimp cocktail, it's the biggest jumbo shrimp I have ever seen! The waiter asks how many you'd like. It's served with the best tasting, spicy hot, cocktail sauce that I've EVER had! I order 4, it almost ruins my lobster dinner. My beloved husband always orders their perfectly grilled steak, he enjoys it so much!
Visiting from NY. It’s a place I will visit again. Nice seating with resourceful Bar. Vibe wasn’t all that but okay.
I've been dining at the Sole Proprietor for many, many years. I can always count on an excellent dining experience. Décor is classic and upscale, with tables properly spaced for quiet conversation. Kitchen is open to view in the largest of the dining rooms. Bar area interesting and a beehive of activity. Lighting subtle and flattering. The menu is fantastic and includes raw, baked, blackened, broiled, and fried seafood. I love the lobster bisque, clam chowder, sushi rolls, and raw oysters. The Bang Bang Shrimp are tasty; and the Seafood Cobb Salad is a fine choice for lunch. This salad includes shrimp, crabmeat, chopped egg, bacon, avocado, scallions, tomatoes, smoked mussels, feta over romaine with green goddess dressing. Portions are generous and ingredients fresh. See accompanying photo. For dinners, I like grilled or broiled swordfish or halibut. These are always done exactly as I like, and are usually accompanied by saffron rice and a vegetable. Wait staff is friendly and professional...atmosphere charming...cuisine superb. I'll be back again and again. Enjoy!
Wow! We heard this was an amazing place for seafood and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The service was top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Wonderful wine list, apps and entries. Some people I are party ordered sushi and just loved it!! We will definitely be back and highly reccomend!
Absolutely wonderful! Every item we ordered was delicious and the serving sizes were impressive. The cocktails were excellent. We were seated as soon as we arrived for our reservation which is always a plus. Our server was fun and knowledgable! We had a great time and will definitely be back!
