Nate & Brooke Eat Worcester: Tried a new place for takeout tonight per the recommendation of our good friend and fellow foody, Edwick Quiles. Sol Of Mexico is our New Mexican gem. I’m always cautious about trying a new Mexican restaurant because I grew up eating American Mexican. But my adorable and adventurous hubby,Nathan Standring, has helped me try new places I typically would not have on my own. Thank you, baby! Ok, now for the review. Sol of Mexico on Pleasant Street is a “pleasant” surprise indeed. We both decided to try something on the safe side for our first time. I got a pork quesadilla and Nate got the taco mix (one of each meat). Ummm…delicious!! The meats were seasoned wonderfully. My quesadilla had an authentic spice taste that was balanced perfectly between sweet and savory. I didn’t even need to put anything on them because the red sauce was the perfect touch. Nate says his tacos were flavorful, juicy and full of meat. His only regret is that he didn’t use the green sauce it came with until the end. That’s when he realized it was a tasty ad-on. Even though we weren’t adventurous tonight with our menu selections, we are looking forward to ordering from Sol of Mexico again and trying A LOT more. Can’t wait!! We highly recommend if you are looking for a place with a more authentic Mexican taste, this is your place. Thank you Sol of Mexico for a great dinner tonight. ??

Real delicious, fresh authentic Mexican food.Small and cozy, great service. Did I mention its delicious?

Sol of Mexico is the BEST. Small, inexpensive place on pleasant. I love the veggie tacos. So fresh and delicious. The mango salsa is probably one of my favorite condiments of all time. The staff is awesome too. I've ordered delivery from them a few times and they always call to confirm certain ingredient instruction.

Most authentic Mexican i’ve had in a long time!!! Everything was so fresh and had very distinct and unique flavors. Highly recommend!

Ordered the chicken enchiladas en salsa roja combo (with rice & beans), the rice was flavorful, slightly undercooked, but the portion size was abysmal, only 4 bites of rice in a tiny dip container. Same for the beans, which had an odd chemical-y taste. The chicken in the enchiladas was so dry and stringy I could barely cut it, under-seasoned, and if there was cheese on or in the enchiladas, it was so little I couldn't find it. The pico de gallo and lettuce was bizarrely sugary. The salsa roja was good, but that's about all. Also, ordered takeout, and expected it to come with chips & salsa like all the other Mexican restaurants I order from, and was disappointed to find none.

Never disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty. We regularly order the fish tacos and burritos. The place is small but cute, however I recommend take-out so that you can plan your time. They do make everything from scratch so don't think this is fast food where they just throw it together. You'll know when you taste it how fresh it is.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered a torta, a sope, and two tacos. The sope was quite good, lots of food and nice flavor. The torta was even better, great flavor throughout. The tacos sealed the deal, excellent in every way. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.8.

Authentic Mexican food with a big menu and a lot of vegetarian options. This place is very good well worth checking out!

Very good food. Its takes a little bit to get your food, because the owner is making it from scratch. Its certainly worth the wait.

If you would like totally original & delicious food then this is the go to place...mouth watering all of their food..
