This spot is conveniently located on the corner of Park Ave and Mill St. I've been wanting to try Pollo Centro since they took over from Dunkin Donuts. The cheerful fast food counter revealed a delicious lunch that tasted home-cooked! We loved the plantains, beans & rice, and fried chicken. My family can't wait to go back.
Great spot for some Spanish fried food. The chicken is great as well as the acapurrias and pastelitos. Prices are very reasonable and the place is clean. I like that you can also see into the kitchen somewhat and see them cooking the chicken.
Yes! More places like this please. Great food. Got a whole chicken and some other goodies like rice and beans plantains and salad. Delicious food!!! To think I almost went somewhere else to eat and I was just like "hmm I'm going to try this place instead". No regrets at all and I want to get more food from them right now even though I'm full. I highly recommend getting food from here.
I tried it a couple times and liked it. I gotta love when people speak Spanish around me and just assume I have no idea what they are saying. I’m not close to fluent but I know enough. A customer and a worker were making fun of my clothes.I heard one of them say Madicone and the girl pointed at me and laughed. I don’t know how to spell it, but I know GD well what it means. Screw You Pollo Centro! You’ll never see another penny of mine.
The food was so good chicken tenders were real whole pieces. The sweet plantains were amazing. The meat pies and fries were superb. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. Thank you ? ?
I was hoping this place would be amazing as it’s so close to home.. It’s not! Let’s start with the terrible attitude of one of the staff. I have a significant food allergy and was actually quite nervous as she had no idea what flour is. No one seemed to understand gluten allergy, even though there is a sign to disclose any food allergies. This is very unsafe. She kept calling me crazy to the other staff in Spanish, like I did not understand what she was saying. One of the other employees even apologized for her disrespect. I simply wanted to make sure there was no flour in certain items. For the food: it was all sitting in steam table pans as like in a buffet. The grilled chicken and tostones were severely dry to a point actually dipped my chicken in ketchup!! I fed the tostones to my dog, who then went and drank water ?. I was told they do not have rice and beans, but then was told they have rice with either veggies or beans??? So rice and beans were very dry, some of it was even crunchy ?.. that will go to the dogs as well.We ordered ribs, which were also very dry and over priced. We did also buy a flan to share, it was not bad.. Miranda bread’s flan is much better..Although I can’t have fried chicken, I recommend going the extra 20 feet down the street to Popeyes!
I love this place, great chicken,I like the chicken tenders, half chicken they chop up, plantains, chicken pie things ponetahs or what ever they are called veggie rice with peppers onions and corn, good spot.

First off, the service is terrible. The employee was overtly disrespectful to customers in front of a supervisor, who didn’t seem to care much. Second, the rice and beans we were served was obviously old, with large clumps of dried out rice found throughout. The chicken was dry. The tostones were dry and flavorless. Really the best way to describe the food we got is old, dry, and bland. Zero out of ten. Would not try again.
Service with a smile and very helpful, with it being my first time. It's definitely not just another Spanish spot the chicken was moist hot and flavorful, mmm mm mmm I start drooling just thinking about it. This is the perfect quick lunch stop for eat in or carry out, need to bring home dinner after work they have whole chickens half chickens ready to go with all the Hispanic sides you enjoy. Don't speak Spanish just point, don't speak English just point, don't speak just point, no matter what your gonna have a full and satisfied belly.
