Absolutely the worst service I’ve probably ever encountered in an establishment. Rude waitresses, no menu for drinks, extremely uncomfortable experience for first timers. Do not recommend, also the sanitation of the building needs an inspection…
We ended up getting takeout as the dining room was full. They had our order ready in the 20 minutes that they indicated and the food was fantastic. We had shrimp, seafood platters with shrimp, clam strips, scallops, and haddock, plus Cajun grilled swordfish.
It was disgusting it didn't even deserve one star but I had no choice so I could write a review. The food was so disgusting the lobster roll was skimpy and the roll was so soggy it fell apart. The clams were cold tasteless and very small the sides we had mashed potatoes with gravy it was so gross no butter no salt no spices it was so bland the cole slaw was also tasteless and very gross. I have eaten here before about a year ago and thought I'd give it another try hoping for a better cook but no it was just as disgusting a year ago as it was today 40 dollars for the nastiest food I've had all summer. Don't waste your money you will be very disappointed. Who ever rated them good must be to drunk to notice the lousy food since it is also a bar. Or the know the place and are giving false reviews because they know the people or owner who work there or they know who's cooking. Good luck if you still order from here!!!?
Great place! Awesome fried clams. Like being at the beach! Very reasonable, no complaints. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Best lobster roll ever...New England roll (toasted) heaping filled with claw meat. Get a melted butter on the side and pour it over. Fries and slaw on the side. Whole belly clam dinner rocks. Outstanding service! Highly recommended.

I always feel relaxed, chilled and comfy when I come here. The food is great, staff is super friendly, and everyone is always enjoying themselves. I love the fried haddock sandwich. It sounds simple, but the combination of a good sized, perfectly fried piece of haddock, cheese, toasted white bread, with tartar sauce, and Tabasco, coleslaw, and fries is perfection - just perfection.
We parked in the lot next to Herbies as his parking lot was full of huge pot holes and mud. The place was busy but we were able to get a table. The waitress was pleasant as she took our drink order and gave us menus. I ordered the salmon with the dill sauce which was cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the scallop clam platter. She said her scallops were only warm but tasty. She didn't want to send them back, for she was too hungry. Nice people sat around us which is always a nice experience. We will go back.
Loved the fish and clan dinner and had the best raspberry martini ever... Prices are great.. Definitely going back
Please Herbie's bring back your Brandy Cream mushroom gravy on any kind of steak. You usually put it on Rib Eye but any steak will do. It is Soooooooo Good, Amazing and delicious. Thank you We call to take out under John at least once a week. It's 1000 stars
