They ruined my wedding. I already wrote a novel and it didn't show up. So, I'll give you the quick breakdown on this disrespectful, horrible place. They destroyed part of my wedding. The almost $900 wedding cake was not only the wrong color COMPLETELY after I gave them a swatch! (ICE LIGHT BLUE IS not TOURQUOUSE!) The $80 hydrangea flower made of sugar on top, looked like three tiny microscopic flowers. All I received was a $20 " wrong color" refund...and was told that the flower was an "artistic difference." Horrible ethics!
I ordered 4 cupcakes today and they were decorated beautifully. One was a yellow cake with a beautiful red rose frosted top! It really was beautiful but the cake tasted like there was too much salt and the frosting was....honestly not sweet at all like frosting should. The other one we ate tonight was a raspberry white cupcake and it was a let down too, just too much raspberry flavor and again the frosting wasn't very good! We have 2 more left ( chocolate love and red velvet) and I hope for $24 we get at least half that we love the taste of!
Bean counter bakery catered for our wedding on 1/14/22 and we couldn't have been happier. We ordered a 6" chocolate muse cake and a variety cupcakes consisting of carrot cupcakes, peanut butter chocolate cupcakes and cannoli cupcakes. Alice and her team were professional.The cupcakes were out of this world. We were pleased with their services.
Alice and her team did such an outstanding job on our Son and Daughter-in-laws wedding cake. It was just spectacular and of course tasted amazing. If your in search of a wedding cake or any dessert for any kind of occasion, the Bean Counter Bakery is the place to go. Thank you again for helping making their wedding amazing.
We went here to try their gluten free pastries. I bought a lemon shortbread pastry with frosting sandwiched between both shortbread cookies. I almost had a heart attack when the cashier rang us up and announced that for those two cookies our total would be $12. The cookies tasted fine. Not exceptional and not terrible, but definitely not worth $12.
We had our wedding on 12/24/21 and our cake turned out amazing! It was exactly what we wanted and it was so delicious as soon as we got home we had to have another piece!! We did gf vanilla and strawberry and it was just perfection I would send everyone to Bean Counter for their big day especially if they needed a specialized cake like gluten-free or vegan. Even the tasting part at the beginning was so fun and delicious!! Thank you Alice for making our wedding cake vision, together with the florist it looks even better than our inspiration photo!
Comfortable, cozy coffee shop with delicious pastries (vegan options included!!!). Consistently friendly, fast, high-quality service. I've been to the Bean Counter at least once a week since I discovered it four years ago - that's how good it is.
Excellent coffee & pastries! Top notch service. Comfortable atmosphere. I ordered a beautiful cake here years ago for my sister's baby shower & was very impressed, though I will say it was a little expensive. Well worth the money. Quality is definitely noticeable & much appreciated. Awesome cheesecake. If you have never been, you must try! Nice selection of goodies & beverages.
I love the Bean Counter! I worked with the owner Alice for cupcakes for my bridal shower and our wedding cake. Alice professional, patient and kind. The cupcakes were stunning and were just as much decor as they were a yummy treat for our bridal shower guests. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious, we chose the Pumpkin Brown Butter Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream with caramel drizzle, it was outstanding!
Love the atmosphere, awesome music, delicious lattes… remember to tip your baristas when you come here ?
