So impressed - can't believe I haven't heard of it before. Now one of my global favorite Asian food restaurants. The chicken dish and spicy beef stew were off the charts delicious (friend ordered so don't know dish names). The drinks were creative and inspired. The atmosphere was beyond cool! Old house / lots or private spaces. Even loved the boneless spareribs which usually I don't care for.
The food here is pretty terrible. Prices are also pretty high, especially for the (lack of) quality. I think people really come for the cocktails, which we didn't have but they looked good. The house special lo mein with pork was super greasy and salty, with very little pork--which was char siu (Chinese BBQ pork) as an FYI--or vegetables. The spicy cellophane noodles with minced pork similarly had very little pork and just...didn't taste good. We came here to grab some food before our movie at the nearby Showcase but would've been better off just eating there!
This place was hit & miss didn’t know how to really describe it. The food was ok, honestly the wings were prob the only thing I really enjoyed as well as the scallion pancakes. The Kung Pao chicken wasn’t really all that great, sauce overpowered the dish after a couple bites it just got overwhelming to the point I didn’t really enjoy nor did I finish it. The drinks were not bad the cenote sling was great & was prob. One of the best drinks I’ve had. The mating dance was ok just didn’t do it for tasted more like soda pop than anything. Overall this place is a little pricey for what it is, I would recommend just getting some appetizers & drinks as those were their best options specially the wings & cocktails.
Same review I gave Baldwin Bar: amazing cocktails and delicious food. Pickled cucumber app is Addictive I have to get ti every time. Menu changes often. Both spicy and non spicy options
Wonderful atmosphere and vibe! Our entree's were delicious! Two outstanding and unique drinks! Fantastic presentation!Staff was attentive, informative and engaging!
Really cool vibe! Definitely make a reservation ahead of time, even for the bar! Reservations are only for 90min. Dining area plus bar.. different eclectic drink menu.. really friendly staff... Super hot guy greeter with muscles too ? Food was decent, not too spicy. Somewhat pricey. Would go back!
Food and drinks were great. Drinks tasted great but not very strong for the price. Host seemed to have a little bit of an attitude so was a little awkward getting seated. Will look past the customer service and will continue to come for the food and drinks.
Wow! Such a great restaurant with really good services. Everyone also made sure we were all set. The food was the best part. Really great Chinese Food, and I will definitely be returning.
My husband and I have easily spent over thousands of dollars ordering take out from this restaurant throughout the year. Even though the restaurant is a bit of a drive, we always felt that the food was worth it. Once in person dining resumed, we had been there a handful of times. Today, I was excited to share this restaurant with one of my colleagues as we are both busy professionals and we had some time to catch up on each other’s lives. We arrived at 3:30, and to our unfortunate surprise, they only had in person dining starting at 5. This was fine, we decided to order and eat nearby. At around 4:50 PM, we made our way to the entrance (as it was starting to get a little chilly outside) and they again reiterated this would not be open until 5 (only a few minutes by this time). Then at 5, we were asked if we had made reservations (even though it’s 5PM on a Wednesday night, which by the way my husband and I had always been told they do not take reservations and they only do walk-ins). As we were walking in, the host made it a point to tell us that we ONLY had an hour to eat or drink (despite the place being mostly empty and our plan was to simply get a drink). Furthermore, he made it a point to tell us that we COULD ONLY SIT in chairs 1 and chairs 2 at the bar before promptly walking away leaving us confused. The prior hostess was a lot more customer service oriented and already had my order at hand as I walked up to the front - because that is how often we were ordering (I’m Fernando). Even though I have enjoyed the food from this place, I will no longer be supporting this business until the front staff are better trained in customer service.
Excellent food, creative cocktails, funky setting, friendly and attentive staff, what more can you ask for? The cucumber with garlic sauce is way better than it probably should be and the dan dan noodles with mince pork are a great balance. Ma paul tofu was very good, but for me the prize goes to the spice dry rubbed brisket. Plenty of heat in all of those dishes but not so much that you couldn't enjoy the tastes and flavors of the food.
