We always liked this place for snacks and flavorful sweets! This time we tried food catering for a small event and it was a hit! Aloo tikki chat was served differently to keep it fresh and not soggy. Veggie puffs are fresh and crispy. paneer kathi rolls were good when we tasted at the restaurant but they were little hard for to go. However we love the taste of all dishes. The malai sandwich sweet was so delicious!Everything we ordered was amazing!
We’ve been to Mawa House pre pandemic a couple of times and have loved the food there. Unfortunately the quality has gone down majorly. It’s really sad. Our chaats were lackluster, lacked masala and the pav bhaji was very average. Went with very high hopes, and ended up being sorely disappointed.
Updating post based on today’s experience:I did not understand whether to eat chat with spoon or drink it with straw. It was so watery tasteless and sour. The dahi puri was also so sour in taste, pani puri was well beyond salty. The onions were not even finely chopped they were cut so big as if we were put the onions in curry. Overall presentation of the food items was lacking. The service was also very very slow.
- the worst pav bhaji I ever had. Bhaji was just water, and quantity was so little, I couldn’t even finish one Pav with it.- they over charged for already overpriced sweets, even when I pointed the mistake, they just blamed the system and refused to correct it.- Staff member was polite and nice, but doesn’t seem like they care about quality of food and service otherwise.- other items that I got were average at best, mostly below average quality.Overall a very disappointing experience, never to come back again.
I really wasn't expecting a pastry shop however all I wanted were samosa and they had them. The veggie samosa was delicious and the tamarind chutni was delightful pair. They have a wonderful large selection of desi/Indian pastries. I was rather surprised to see. Their hot foods menu was a little misleading however I am sure it's a simple fix for the vegetarian community. Highly recommend their samosa and marsala chai. The marsala chai was delicious just like home. ?? Please list this as a "Desi cafe" I am sure it's delightful.
We ordered the samosa chat, papdi chat, vada pav, black forest, gulab jamun, pastry, pedha...the chat was bland had no spice or salt ..there was a piece of hair in the samosa on asking the front desk person replaced it however the taste didn't improve much when we asked him to add more spice into it...the white pedha tastes more like candy than a pedha ...the black forest cake was good also the vada pav was good it would have been better if the size of the vada was big enough the chutney serves as a side with the vadapav was just green water ...all and all i am giving this place a two star one for the black forest and one for the vada pav
Tasteless food, No salt in anything. They serve a glass of salt less jal jeera with everything I ordered. The chicken kati role was also served with jal jeera as dip.
I have ordered sweet ( boondhi laddu). They did not taste well at all. Lot of sugar and they tasted like they have been in the open for a while there. The staff is not friendly. I am not coming back again to this store.
We ordered take away / pick up in advance. The packets were ready. But the snacks had to be heated up again before eating. The taste was not so great as it should be or as is available in other Indian eateries. Located along with other shops in a shopping center. The name board of the eatery is yet to be fixed. Ample parking space available including wheel chair customers and access to the eatery is also available for them. Covid19 protocol strictly followed. Dining is in possible. Credit cards accepted. Variety of Indian sweets available too. Looks like the chicken was stale in the ? burger.
I visited this indian resturant for the first time and the atomesphere of the place was very incredible. I wanted a specific marble cake and there was a young chef whom i showed the picture that i wanted this type of cake so he said no worries he will do it for me. The day of the collection of the cake i was soo surprised to see how beautiful he made the cake and exactly how i wanted it. He made it exactly the same way which was quite impressive for me. The chef was very friendly and very down to earth. Also the taste of the cake was superb and fresh. Thank you to the chef who made the cake and i wil surely visit the resturant again
