Just left Mandarin. Went for lunch. Before you visit this restaurant for lunch, check out the new lunch menu prices. I nearly had a heart attack. The same lunch I had at Bauhinia in Shrewsbury with tax and tip cost me $21 and change at Mandarin. Same dish (with way more food) at Bauhinia was $15 and change. No more eating at Mandarin!
Aside the food had a bad experience overall. They allowed an adult to order a cocktail and then while serving asked for an ID but did not accept the digital ID (so we accepted the drink for another adult) and kept reminding us every 5 mins that the adult person (36 yrs) should not drink the cocktail. Go at your own risk if you want to drink but missed ID at home.
Yummy Lunch Specials until 2:30pm and Lunch Buffet until 2pm. Also fresh and friendly!
Was not impressed at all the lady that served us looked like she did not want to be there. The shrimp was super greassy. Yuck and the rice was cold. And hard. The chicken was burnt. I wish i would have taken a picture. But i had left the phone in the car. Anyway i do not recomend this place

The design of the place is nice, but the food does not reach the design of the place. We ordered sushi and it taste disgusting, it didn't even taste like sushi it taste like a piece of meat. And also what ever we bought therewas to much sauce that you couldn't even taste the food. When I ordered the swet and sour chicken, it was fried and barely any chicken inside of it, and there was way to much sauce on it that you couldn't even see the food. Overall the food taste disgusting and wasnt even that fully.
The food has changed. It's not the worst but not the best. The style of the place doesn't fit the food quality anymore. Overall it's okay. Sushi is still good.
I love the Mandarin. Is it the best Chinese-style food I've ever had? Not even close? Is it the best in Westborough? Nope! But do we always get great service here and leave satisfied? 100% of the time!!! I have to give mad props to the owners and management, because we have had consistently enjoyable experiences here, with great wait staff who are friendly and always smiling. The bar makes enjoyable libations, and the place has held up well over the years. Excellent option for takeout, making it an all-around winner for us!

Pretty decent ambiance and laid back. Food wasn't anything great and it wasn't terrible. I had the Beijing Duck which was a bit dry and lacked flavor. I also had the house fried rice and the Mongolian beef which also lacked flavor. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend BUT I'm not saying its a place to avoid. ??♀️
