Cash only, but that isn't mentioned anywhere on the door and it wasn't mentioned when I sat to eat. And the waitress gave me the wrong change. Food was okay, unlikely I will go back.In response to the owner: Pictures on here of your restaurant's doors only show a small sticker stating there is an ATM inside. To help avoid confusion, you might want to update pictures here to show that cash is the only tender accepted at your establishment.
Such a great, authentically Boston dive. The best clam chowder I've ever had. Amazing lobster roll. Complimentary popcorn and a warm atmosphere. They take cash and check only do come prepared. There's an atm on site also. Will definitely be back!!!
Ordered 2 clam dinners, and haddock dinner last night. Fish dinner was fine! Clams were very oily, and mushy seems like they were cooked in oil that was not very hot, most went in trash, never had clams like that before, very disappointing!!
Jp's has the best food. I have never had anything there that I was unhappy with! They give a generous portion too. I have gone there for years and every friend I have brought there has loved it!
Always loved their juicy big pub cheeseburgers on toasted bulky roll & good size serving of fries. Got this to go during take out only period last November & was disappointed. Hamburgers were thin, untoasted regular small roll from ordinary hot dog or hamburger package & small fries. Tried once more a few weeks later. Got clam roll & cole slaw. Formerly known for big bellied clams overflowing in a buttered toasted hot dog roll, only to find barely enough no belly clams to fill the untoasted roll. Haven't gone back since. This week I invited friends to join me there for fried clam plates hoping enough people complaianed since last November & since opening up to public again. First time for these friends. Hope I won't be embarrassed. Don't see long wait lines there anymore. To be continued.....
This feels like a real old school pub but with friendly and attentive service. Good was excellent and all the prices were very fair and affordable. Drinks were honestly the most reasonably priced and very tasty.

Amazing food at an incredible price and excellent service. Where can you get a huge piece of baked Haddock, salad, veg, potato for $13!?! Cooked to perfection everytime. Fried Haddock or scallops ,coleslaw and fries for $11...best I've had ANYWHERE!!
