The tip here is that Stella's primarily makes thin crust pizzas - it's relatively quick and very delicious, but it can't travel great distances without losing it's oven-baked heat quickly, even in a heat-retaining bag. You can, though, get some of that heat back if you pop it in the oven for a bit. I have heard customers ask for a "thick dough" pizza, so I guess that's an option, though it's not posted anywhere. Pizza - like most food - is a difficult thing to review: what might be an outstanding pizza for one person, can be the absolute worst for another. My suggestion is that - if you have the time - stop in for a slice first and check it out before ordering a whole pie. For what it's worth, I prefer Stella's over the other local (Watertown, Belmont) offerings. I have not had anything other than their pizzas, and I've never ordered delivery from them. Other reviews have told you it's a four booth place (hard benched, not padded), and they can be taken up by people just waiting to pick up their pizzas, but they'll move if you're eating in. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially in front (on Mt. Auburn Street), but spaces can usually be found around the corner on Elton Ave.

Not sure if they have a website but my antivirus went Nuts when i clicked on it!I grew up in Cambridge next to the Harvard house of pizza.. Lived in NYC, LA, Dallas , Houston, Seattle etc..and yet, I've rarely had pizza this good.. I suspect because of the thin and crusty 18" pizza.. If you don't like thin pizza or prefer undercooked doughy stuff you might not love Stella's.. That said, locally it's equal is Pini's Pizza in Waltham.. Both make wicked good white pizza.. I recommend their white roma.. The pizza is generous and cheap for what you get.. They also sell dough if you're looking for that. The rest of their appetizer items are generic.. Pick up and delivery.. Order directly through them, not another site, or you might "come up short "

Wonderful crust and flavorful sauce and toppings..

Used to go here all the time when I worked in the area. Stopped in a few nights ago. Still the same great food & service!

Love this place. Awesome slices (so yummy too). Wil definitely be coming back.

Stella's used to be our favorite pizza restaurant in Watertown....after last night, we would never go back.We tried them a few months ago and were disappointed and tried them last night and were shocked at the poor quality and taste. We ordered 2 pizzas, fries, and chicken wings. The wings were great and the only edible part of dinner. The fries were completely burnt (to the point that we were shocked Stella's served them). They were gross. Both pizzas had dough that tasted dry (and was burnt and would just crack and fall apart when you took a bite) and the cheese fell off as soon as you took a bite.We threw everything away aside from the wings. Waste of $50.We're sticking with Big Daddy's, D&D, and Max and Leo's going forward and recommend you do the same.

I have been going there 35 years. Thin crust pizza the best around.
