Great food and environment! Definitely will visit again!
My family gathered for a very good meal on Sunday late morning at the Local in Waltham. Unfortunately, that evening my wife reported she was missing a hearing aid. I called the Local in Waltham and spoke to Stacey. She was most caring and helpful. She checked the dining room, the bathroom, and even the parking lot where we had parked our cars. Sadly we did not find the hearing aid, the good news is Stacey. She is a great ambassador for The Local in Waltham and one heck of a good human being. Talk about building customer loyalty!Thank you Stacey.
I’ve been to the Local three different times (and one takeout) and tried different dishes each time. I have not had one bad meal, everything I’ve had is cooked fresh and perfect. I look forward to my work trips so I can have a meal from The Local!
This is a nice little restaurant but the service the night we got there was lacking. We were at the table for 15 minutes and not even a glass of water was offered. I might understand this if the restaurant was full but from my estimation it was around 50% capacity. That was including an event they had in the closed terrace area. I eventually asked one of the servers who my waiter was and I was told that there had been a table mix up. Honestly, I could tell that the waiter in our area had forgotten about us and they assigned us another waiter. I don't know how he could have missed us since we were right in the middle in between three of his tables
Loved the covered outdoor dining with heat lamps. My salad was tasty, and the donuts were SO GOOD. Also, friendly service and kudos to kitchen for being very accommodating regarding sodium restrictions. Would definitely recommend!
In the area visiting friends. Stopped in for lunch. Enjoyed the red Sangria. The crispy Brussels sprouts were OK. My main dish which was a crispy lemon chicken was delicious! Not a bad meal at all but pretty pricey!
Great food! Fish was excellent.
Me and my daughter was on a college visit and it's our first time in the area. We googled the best place to eat and we decided to come to the this restaurant and the ambiance was great but the food is fantastic. I had Pan's seared haddock and my daughter had Sesame chicken bowl and it was great. The waiting staff are great as well!!!
Was very excited to eat here based on website and menu but turned out to be very disappointing. Sat at large bar for drinks and food. The 2 bartenders were distracted and disinterested at one end - I was at the other unfortunately. No smiles and greetings, needed to ask for silverware, cell phones a priority, just overall poor service and not even a smile. This is just status quo in a lot of businesses with hiring difficulties and I get that - still do not have to like it! As for the food, the Brussels Sprout appetizer was excellent, which is always a great find. Hong Kong Noodles was mediocre to poor at best.
Met a friend for lunch today. Excellent experience all around. Our server, whose name I regrettably cannot remember, was lovely and attentive but not overbearing. The bread basket had a delicious sweet cornbread. My friend and I each had the rosemary garlic salmon. It was cooked perfectly, as were the broccoli and roasted sweet potatoes that accompanied it. Nothing was greasy or over salted, as restaurant food often is. The broccoli was bright green and tender but not mushy. Great atmosphere, too. We will be back!
