Food was spectacular as every experience at Sweet Basil. We are Sweet Basil in Needham frequent diners. Prefer the experience at Needham - from ambiance to waiters, waitresses & host. Happier & lighter vibe in Needham.
I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was extremely dry, with no sauce, I ordered a margaritas and it was in the smallest glass and no ice. I was extremely disappointed and I don't think I would ever go back.
Festive outdoor seating, great service, food was average.
We had an outdoor table for 2 on a Friday night and were seated right away. The initial service was a little slow--it took awhile for someone to take our drinks order and it didn't appear to be super busy, a few empty tables. But after that everything went smoothly. Our server was pleasant and helpful. After debating between the risotto and the chicken parm I chose the latter based on the great reviews here. It was delish although the linguini was a bit chewy for my taste. My companion had the shrimp scampi which she loved, and she's a foodie. We both had a glass of sauvignon blanc which was tasty. We will definitely be back!
The food is excellent and in the warmer months the outdoor seating is really lovely.
Italian food with an Asian ambience. Great staff and service and the food portions with enough for dinner and the next day's lunch.
The food was as good as the Needham location, wings, salads, bread, steak frites. I am not into the super chunky sauce on the chicken parm. Needham is always packed, but this location was hot, empty, strangely decorated and played a weird music selection including rap. Not sure if we will return to the Waltham location even though they have alcohol and take reservations.
