What a phenomenal discovery this place is! I rent a storage unit across the street and if I happen to be around at lunchtime I've popped by here a few times now. Boy am I glad *this* is the place that's there!Sure, the environment itself is humble -- Minimal indoor seating, but with a small parking lot and a few tables set up outside. But the food is top notch! I tried a few slices of pizza first, of course, and first of all they're properly big. They're also delicious; Not too greasy, not too dry, not too thick nor thin -- Goldilocks! Another time, I tried the cheeseburger sub, and it was even better than the pizza (like one of the employees advised -- "Everything's good, but the pizza isn't even the best food here!"). Rich, juicy, excellent cheese, my only complaint is the bread was toasted but that's on me for not requesting it otherwise, nothing I can reasonably count against the folks here. My uncle tried a calzone once and it was MASSIVE -- The calzones here, only one size, can EASILY serve 2-3 people. They're not overstuffed rather truly stretched out; Each bite is reasonable, not overfilled like a damn taco. He's a hard man to impress but he liked the flavor. Finally, I also tried a brownie once, from the fride, and hoooo boy wherever they get them from if they don't make them themselves -- Keep doing what you're doing! Absolutely delicious. Crumbly, rich, and the base is chocolate bliss. I will warn you however, don't let the brownies' size deceive you -- The thing's a real bomb to the gut; It may look small but it can feed two people easily. For some folks a whole one in a single sitting may be a bit much. That's all the better though; More bang for your buck! The staff is very friendly and sociable, too. There's an employee with rad hair and glasses that suit him very well, and another with a top-notch beard that's 10/10 -- Both have been nothing other than friendly and smiles each time I was there (and that's even considering I was a little rude my first visit... I didn't mean to be and I feel bad; I just didn't think my words through and they came across differently from how I meant).Definitely give this place a shot if you're in the area and have a hankering for any of the many things on their menu! I'm looking forward to maybe trying some of the pasta dishes one of my next visits.
These folks have some of the best pizza in the Newton/Waltham area. They're prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food provided. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. They don't have much space inside but I highly recommend them for carry out or delivery. ?
So my name is Richard I live in Newton I go here twice a month so today I got a slice of get this a Bolognese pizza and first very creative to say the least one of the best slices I've ever had kudos to my pie oh and the cheesevake is good
Best thin crust Italian pizza! So many varieties too! Just had tomato mozzarella pesto with balsamic that was amazing! The owner Dante is wonderful, and NY Pie makes consistently good food. Grilled marinated chicken for the salads is delish—sometimes I can’t help eating that first! :).
NY Pie has taken over where Mama Josie’s left off. Mama Josie’s provided pizza without pretension, with a thin crust and a delicious sauce. We searched, and we found NY Pie. Always good with customer service and providing delicious pizzas. Their Greek salads are wonderful.
Great pizza. Horrible delivery. They said 35-40 minutes. Delivery just got here 1 hour & 20 minutes later. Not worth it.
NY Pie - Waltham, Massachusetts We ordered using their app - not a third party. The estimated delivery time was 6:50. 7:10 I called and they said it would be right there. 8:00 I called and they said it would be right there. It didn't take long after 8pm, for the cold pizza, in a concave box with sausage almost as hard as a rock and literally unchewable. We had to ask the driver for our 2 liter of soda - which cost, are you sitting down???? $5.99!!! Then, the driver asks if we need plates and napkins. My husband said "yes, that would be helpful" - driver says "yeah, I don't have any". It's not NY Style pizza. It's just bad pizza. Baaaad all around.
I recommend you a thousand percent to go to this pizzeria the pizzas are the best I've eaten in my life without exaggeration. My favorite is the buffalo BBQ, it's just amazing. I've been going there since 2016 and I've never been disappointed. On top of that the owner is super nice and friendly.
AMAZING service at NY Pie. They are so friendly and helped me out when I really needed it. Their pizza is amazing too! Will not disappoint for sure
Real NY style pizza in the Boston area! Huge slices, right ratio of cheese to crust (according to a Jerseyan). Like that they are open til 10 or 11 PM depending on the night. Wish they had more types of slices available on the later side but looking forward to trying more pies and subs next time!
