Restaurant was clean and the waitress also runs the register. She was very prompt in getting my order when I walked in for my pick-up. Food is authentic, home made, at a fair price, and very good! I tried their Pupusa since I have never had it before and it was good size and filling with my 3 tacos. I recommend this spot for authentic Latin American food at a fair price.
This place use to be SOOO good 3yrs ago. A solid go to spot for your ultimate foodies with a full portion and a delicious meal that your taste buds and belly would thank you for. Now the food quality has gone down hill. Please bring back whoever you had 3yrs ago because this place could have really taken off on moody street! The quality of food is now similar to Margaritas…what a shame

I don't know what some of these people are complaining about. The place looks clean and maintained. The food looks and tastes like a home-cooked meal and the chicharrones are perfect! It is not a fancy restaurant by any means, but it doesn't pretend to be either. Just a great place to go in and get lunch or dinner without any fuss at a very reasonable price. The service leaves nothing to be desired; the waitress was prompt, smiley and eager to give her recommendations on what to eat. She even checked in a couple times during the meal to make sure everything was as it should. I'm sure I'll return here many times!
Good South American street food
Love Guanachapi’s but I could not give this particular location a 5-star. I know this is location #1 for them, but we often go to the Express location they have in Framingham,MA and we recently observed that the Birria tacos (a favorite) was not as good from the Waltham location. They were nearly the same but the stewed beef typically has a better flavor and is juicier. The stewed beef is dry from places despite the dipping juice and Guanachapi’s is typically very good. But the Framingham location takes the edge for now. As far as pricing, the menu price did not match our final bill. We’re willing to pay it, but it would have been nice to not be taken by surprise. Expect possibly 10% higher than menu. In any case, we’ll be back!….to the Express location.
It's ok. The food is cheap, which is great, but not the highest quality. You still get a full meal.
I ordered chicken tacos and they where soaking in oil to the point I can pour it off the plate not edible and refused a refund
Always a great place to eat central American food. Great staff and good portions ?. When ever I am in Waltham it is one of my places to eat, I also love the Guanachapis Express in Framingham, they also offer the same awesome Hispanic food?
