Took advantage of throw back 80's menu. The insulata was full & tasty. We also had the sporkie pizza & the Bertucci special pepperoni pizza and ate it all. Nice dinner for an amazing price.
We sat outside as still cautious with Covid. Near highway so it was loud, but that was our choice. Thank you
We have eaten at this location for years and were drawn in by the 80s prices promotion. Terrible mistake. We arrived for our reservation at 7 p.m. We received a basket of rolls shortly thereafter, then nothing. No water, no silverware, no one to take our order. At 7:25 I flagged down a server and asked if someone could take our order. I was told someone would be over as soon as possible, although she looked wiped out and very frazzled. At 7:40 I went to find the manager. At this point we hadn't even been served water. The manager said they were short staffed, which we had figured out. I suspect that people didn''t want to work during the 80's prices promo as the checks are much smaller, and I know that restaurants are having trouble with staffing. The table behind us kept trying to flag down their waitress and were getting increasingly exacerbated because no one would even make eye contact with them. The food was good, as usual, and I feel some empathy for the staff but they were not forthcoming about the delays, were on the edge of rudeness when I asked about being served and we were seated for an hour before even our appetizer arrived. Had they told us up front that we could expect to wait, we could have made the choice to stay or decided to eat elsewhere. At the very least they could have taken our order and brought appetizers. As it was, our dinner was a two hour ordeal that has made us question whether it is worth returning.
Excellent food and service. My waitress Angelina was very attentive and professional. The waitstaff is always smiling and helpful. The kitchens open concept is great as well. One can see the food being prepared and the detail that goes into each dish. The is willing to help where needed as you can see. A smoothly run establishment.
To say an overall poor experience would be quite the understatement. The staff was obviously understaffed and overworked. I get it, but then pay them enough to be happy to be there. The management is who I believe is to blame, as many things offered were unavailable, to the point of an entire item from our appetizer sampler was simply omitted from the plate without a word.
Friendly efficient wait staff. New menu items delicious. Tried the chicken bruschetta and it was very tasty.
About three weeks ago I got your Christian Petroni meatball starter and it was delicious. They were light and flavorful - perfectly balanced with the sauce. Last night I ordered them again and they weren't the same. They were heavy and dense and the sauce wasn't enough to save them. Maybe I'll ask for a taste before I order the whole dish next time. By the way, Lola was our server the last time and she was great.
Today was our first time visiting the location in Waltham. The hostess instead of greeting us, just stared at us and was completely rude. Gave us a dirty table and we had to ask for a new clean table. Then after we got re-seated, our server Angelina was a total sweetheart. She took our orders and continued with her duties. When our food arrived, my plate was wrong because the kitchen did not read the instructions correctly. I can see the kitchen from my table and completely saw the treatment our server got from the kitchen staff. They were yelling at her, cursing her and creating a tense environment not just for the staff but for the guest dinning in.. the food was good but I can’t go back and give my business to a restaurant that can’t treat their staff and guest with respect.
Best Bertucci's. will be back very, very soon...see you then
Good to dine in.. would not suggest delivery (not a perfect process for them yet). Pizza = good. Wood stove pizza, good ingredients, sauce too sweet IMO but it's real tomato sauce. Will return again someday likely.
