Sadly the quality of service is going down, portions are smaller and smaller each day.The lady at the counter has no manners, She has a really bad attitude, all the low reviews here are not wrong.I used to buy takeout 3-4 times a week, not anymore.
I've been a handful of times and I have never been disappointed with service or food. The owner is a real cool guy and I think everyone should try it at least once. To me it seems like a fusion not just West Indian cuisine.
Best Jerk chicken in all of Springfield!!! Authentic flavor. Curry chicken excellent! Not your typical rice and peas with red, kidney or gungo peas. It's made with black beans but so super delicious! Small problem is veggies a little too vinegary but overall a great taste experience!
Meh..unfortunately I was looking for authentic Jamaican food. This is more of Jamaican inspired American food. My oxtails were too sweet and weren’t falling off the bone. They definitely need to cook a few hours longer. Not enough browning for my liking either. Good flavors but not authentic Jamaican food. Peas n rice with black beans?? Ok.?Don’t waste ya time if you want real Jamaican food cause this ain’t it. Not bad per se just not what I was looking for.
Started out strong, was rocking woth the new restaurant, promoting throughout the neighborhood, but sadly as of the past 3-6 months they have fell tremendously. Portions have dropped, chicken is dryed out and cold, and the lady at the counter has No customer service skills at all. Her attitude is going to destroy your customer base...Lost Customer
The jerk chicken was good but overpriced I ordered a quarter dark and got very little chicken for the price. The.fried chicken was sub par. It was a waste of money. They won’t see me again.
Excellent customer service! Definitely recommend the Rasta Pasta with Jerk chicken it was so good!
Jerk chicken is probably the best I’ve had in this area , but I do not like the rice. It is some type of Spanish fusion rice??
Food is good and was going for 2 weeks straight until the lady was rude. I gave the place 2 chances but unfortunately I'm alset. I can't tolerate disrespect or rudeness over how I ask for my food. I asked the lady for yellow rice and jerk chicken and she said no its rice and peas with an attitude like come on I asked like 5 different people and I asked them what color was the rice I had on my plate and they all said yellow rice. Other than that the owner is very friendly and if he was the one serving me all the time I would always grab a plate from his place.
