Not for me proper handling is very important to me so when I see a good handler wearing one glove, Red Flag.And when I observe the ungloved hand touching food, You have to ask, What's the point? I purchased an order of fish n chips$15 And gave to my friend who said the portion was minimal and lacked the proper seasoning, And she's a pretty good Caribbean Style cook. But with the limited menu it's still too soon to say for sure how this new kitchen will fare.
The fried chicken is the best in Springfield! Im beyond excited that theres a soul food spot that serves on SUNDAYS! The portions are very decent for the price the mac n cheese and yams are perfect ?? THANKS, the first time I got my dads food from here he had fish mac n cheese and yams; when I saw his plate I definitely had to return to get one of my own and I am pleased!
A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to Matt at Northern Soul Cafe to provide some last-minute catering (within the week). It amazed me at the level of customer service he provided during our initial call. The great customer service didn’t stop with him. Krystal handled the next few steps in the ordering and delivery process. Not only was Krystal polite and easy to work with, she was kind and patient. The food was nothing short of delicious. However, the taste of the food is only half of the battle. The other half is how you treat your customers. You can have mouth watering food and poor customer service and you will be my last choice, if one at all. I will choose the Northern Soul Cafe EVERY TIME! I just had THE BEST chicken wings of my life! They were juicy, tender and HUGE! The sauce was delicious. Definitely recommended!

My job had them catered earlier this year and I’ve tried their grill night take-out and both times the food was amazing!! Highly recommend. Try the mac and cheese and asparagus. :)

Hands down the best fried chicken is Springfield!!! I'm very particular about my fried chicken and usually when I order from most place I request extra crispy because it's never fried correctly. I forgot to request this when I ordered from Northern Soul Cafe but was pleasantly surprised when I received my order of wings and it was fried to perfection and seasoned very well. And they got that Red Hot hot sauce!!! They're definitely tuned in!!! And the mac and cheese was good as well.
My FAVORITE and what I believe is the best soul food restaurant in the 100 mile radius (I try them all), mac and yams are undefeated! Garlic parm wings so tender and flavorful. You’ll be seeing me ALOT ?
