What happened to this place? Food is not as good. Tables always empty but you wait for at least 20 mins. Our server was wonderful but you can tell overworked. It says they are hiring on their window but when we ask what they are hiring for they said all they need is another cook. When we asked why all the empty tables they said they don't have enough servers??? That left me scratching my head. Upper management needs to come in and revamp.
I only ordered two waffles to go costing me a grand total of $20 I tipped the woman $2 the amount it cost doesn't matter. I'll pay what I want, for what I want good service even in just taking my to go order I'll tip you. My problem isn't with price or initial service it's what happened after that worries me for customers especially those with their children. My son was waiting in the car so thank God he didn't have to see and hear his father taunted while having to remain cordial.So my order problems my son's waffles were horribly soggy we live less then a mile from this Ihop we and are family frequent it often so shock. I have to go back and fix wrongs daddy powers right. So that's what I did the first time I ordered the waffles it took a total of 10 minutes for them to to be done. The second time less people in the store it takes 20 minutes plus. The Whole time they're talking and laughing loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear about my complaint of soggy waffles. While continuously sending over employees to ask the same question is everything all right with your order just so they can hear me reply again further hashing and taunting me for my re-order. I work I employ individuals I earn my money.If I want my waffles not soggy then that's what they should be without any lip. Denny's will now be our place of choice further away but hey respect is all.
The meals we ordered were good. The cheese cake pancake remains my favourite. The server took a while to come to our table however she made up for that with great service.
The food is great and the server was nice. Loved the coffee!!! The only thing I didn’t like was when we needed a refill and the server passed by us like 10 times. Besides that everything else was great.

This review is for the 270 Cooley St (Springfield, MA) location. We have dined in this location before the pandemic a few times, and food was average (service was great). We ordered for delivery last year from this location, and they messed up with the order. The issue was resolved. This morning we decided to give it another chance and ordered for delivery, which was quite fast. The order arrived cold with 3 complete missing items. We were placed on hold as we attempted to call the place but after 26 minutes, there were no response. We posted the issue online and will receive refund in a few days. Unfortunately after two mishaps, we will not order from this location in future.
I’m leaving this review as I would any other, about the food or the service. The food can’t be remarked on since my party didn’t get that far. We arrived to the busy ihop located at 270 Cooley St, Springfield, MA 01128 where we walked in and waited in line to put in our information to the hostess who seemed very nice, organized, and had a great attitude. When we arrived to the podium we put in our info for a table of three and were informed that the wait was approximately 30 minutes. We were all ok with the wait but decided it was best to wait in our vehicle, due to the high volume of other hungry customers also waiting patiently to be seated. Since we decided to wait in our vehicle we gave the hostess our number to call/text whenever our turn to be seated was up next. We waited the full thirty minutes and we were wondering if we were forgotten as a joke due to the restaurant being busy and people were coming in and leaving often. At the forty minute mark we were growing concerned but didn’t want to come off as rude coming into the establishment when it was busy. Finally at the forty-five minute mark one of our party decided to kindly ask if they had an idea how much longer the wait would be. When our party member returned we could tell something had happened. She asked the hostess politely what the possible future wait time and she asked what the name was of our party. The name was given and the hostess lost our name as well as the number we provided to contact us. Ok mistakes happen, right, as I’ve previously mentioned it WAS busy. The hostess also informed our party member that we may come in and it may be an additional 5 minute wait. So we walked in and seated ourselves in the waiting area. When we walked in she looked at us, said “wait are you that girl that just walked in” looked at her list and said to the three of us,” so party of two?” We looked at each other and corrected her and said party of three. She then proceeds to walk the dining room for the next 5 minutes and took on more customers to her legendary list. You could tell she either was lacking confidence or competence enough to run the front of the house. We waited a few more minutes, looked at each other and decided to walk to the Texas Roadhouse across the street since we could almost guarantee optimal service and quality. If the staff could learn anything it’s definitely from the staff here at Texas Roadhouse where I am writing this horrid experience. Finally some food and quality service that cares about who walks through the door. Thank you for your time and thank you for reading this review.P.S. If I could give less than 1 star I would never even sat down got turned off to the hole place just walking in go there a lot more than happy to wait because we love the place but coming to counter to ask how long the wait was and only told by the hostess that she was going to clear some names off the list then the very next people that came in she was ready to take their name like right away I’m not trying to get special attention or treatment just acknowledgement is all not going back.
Very nice. Missed IHOP from Boston Road, and the one in West Springfield is ALWAYS busy.... It was awesome, the food 1as good as I remembered. Brought my son and he loved it too. Will definitely return! Yum!
