Stopped for breakfast on a recent summer morning. If Granny's were in a major city, the line would be out the door. Here in Springfield there's little to no wait for Sonya & Todd's delicious treats. My husband had a couple Quiche, so got some protein. I was lucky enough to get the last Kouign Amann (If you've never had one, you have to taste this melt-in-your mouth delight) and an almond bear claw. (No grill.) Poured over coffee is very good.

I tried a few of their goods and they are well worth the journey. The croissants, the macaroons, the financier cake and yes of course the beignets. Wow is all I can say about the beignets. The are prepared a la minute and worth the wait. They come out warm, soft and flakey and yes dusted with your choice of powered sugar and cinnamon/sugar. Bag it up and enjoy !! All of the items I tried were full of flavor and prepared with love. Don't take my word for it try them yourself..

The service was kind and we waited a reasonable time. The food tasted great and was made to order. The restaurant itself was homey and welcoming with cute decor. A black-owned business worth supporting. Cute desserts and tasty food!
My girlfriend and I visited this morning. We were greeted with smiles. My girlfriend had fresh coffee and a tea cake. It looked like it was a made with peaches...rich....Mmmm yummy. I had a muchroom quiche....FRESH . Everything looked like it was made from scratch. Delicious. I will be returning....As early as this Saturday.
Amazing pastries. Bought a smattering of croissants and other yummies for a client and they said it was the best chocolate croissant they ever had! Will be using this place to pick up goodies for my sales calls from now on. There hasn’t been a croissant type- bakery in this area that I could find. So glad there’s one now. Will return often!

Always look for local baker and this is what I found. Friendly, happy and pastries SO good! Order the beignets- worth the trip in itself.
