FoodThe raw octopus was the highlight in my meal. All the skewers were way too dry and they didn’t seem to be able to figure out the seasoning properly. Either it was bland or the taste was off. Also, it was pricy considering the amount of food you get.Everything elseThe decor was nice.

Can’t wait to going back and have dinner, food is delicious, called ahead to h make a reservation, staff is super nice.

The true yakitori experience. Please be adventurous if you come here! Yakitori is all about off cuts made delicious by slow flame cooking and sauces. I recommend the eel, chicken hearts, and pork neck, as those are my personal favourites. Best enjoyed with some Japanese beer. Well done, Yakitori Totto!

Great food and service! Everything came out quickly and the presentation was nice. We ordered two hot and a cold app and did six skewers each. Ended the meal with the annin tofu and the matcha affogato which were okay. Would come back again though ?

I stoped here after my dentist appointment across the street for lunch. I always wanted to stop by here and was curious what type of food they served. Come to find out it was Japanese cuisine with an emphasis in skewer style dishes. Today I wanted noodles so I ordered the Totto Hanamaru Udon that came with chicken, shitake mushroom, nori, scallion and hot udon noodles. The dish was great, as the broth was delicious with rich flavour. I do wish they could have added a little more chicken to the bowl but besides that, the udon noodles was the highlight as it was soft and well done in my bowl. On the side I ordered the gyoza since they were fresh and they were done perfectly. You could taste the freshness in them, no frozen anything. The crispy bottom was a great finishing touch. On top of that I also had the chicken kawa yakitori, which was done masterfully. It was crispy just like I wanted. Kawa is skin, and these skewers were moth watery with flavour. I ended it with the miso soup that comes in a small black covered cup that you could sip slowly as you relax. The interior was my favourite, as the ceiling was designed nicely with the wood tiles and lights, and makes you feel comfy staying near the kitchen during lunch. For a first time experience, I was pleased with how quick my food came; I didn’t have to wait long. John the manager / or owner of the place was great to meat and greeted me once I walked in and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. He’s a great dude. I’ll definitely come back to I try the beef skewers and for dinner soon enough. So far for my first time, it was a great experience.

Overall a nice dining experience. Always make a reservation because it is always packed with people. I have a bit of a higher expectation since I read so much about the one in New York. The skewers, some were great and some were decent. I especially enjoy the shisamo (smelts), it was my first time and I wish I knew about it sooner. The lamb chop I had was fine, cooked to medium and yet very tender. The chicken heart and meatball were actually pretty good. The udon and rice bowl were decent, nothing too special.

Everything was great from the moment I walked in. I started off with the Makku rice beer, it had a hint of mango and not overly creamy. The Hanamaru Udon was very flavorful and perfect for a cold day. The Ice Banana desert was also yummy. Overall great food, service and reasonably priced. I will be back with friends

Been there twice now and both times have been fantastic! Food is great! The pork with scallions was my favorite!! Vegetarian options are also very tasty! Got an eggplant bowl (not sure what it was called) and the sauce it came with was delicious! Staff is also super nice and friendly! Will definitely be back!

Agadeshi tofu was awesome and we ordered two plates of it. Other dishes are good as well.

Both the service and food was just okay. We came in at 8:40 pm on a Saturday and was told last call was in 5 minutes (for a 9:30pm closing). We ordered the mamo combo, a few yakitori skewers, and the agedashi tofu. The skewers were just okay - a little dry and pretty salty. The agedashi tofu is supposed to be crispy, but ended up being soggy and chewy. Overall, not bad but probably wouldn't go back any time soon.
