I’ve been coming here for years and always loved the place, a nice neighborhood coffee shop. We walk here pretty much every weekend with our dog for a latte and a hecto or becto. But things have been different lately, consistently long wait and wrong orders. This is the large decaf oat milk latte I ordered. With 3 staff present and 1 person awaiting his drink in front of me, it took them 10mins to make the WRONG drink. I didn’t get the oat milk I paid for and it tasted like warm skim milk. The color says it all… I’m so disappointed. We loved this place and the old staff was so friendly and made great drinks… what happened?!
Please update your hours onlineEDIT: My issue was that both your website & google hours list 8-2 but the sign posted on the door listed 12-10. I had a 10 hour shift and used my only break to try and stop by around 10. I will try to stop by again to give a full review but if the hours have truly changed please update the website.Edit 2: strong possibility I’m dumb and checked the wrong door if thats true…
I've been coming to True Grounds for years, and can't say enough good things about the food and service. However today takes the cake (or bagel in this case)! My girlfriend and I come here most weeks to get breakfast sandwiches (the sunny spread is amazing), but this week she couldn't have a bagel because of Passover. The staff went out of their way to give us a to-go container with spread so that she could put it on matzoh! If I could rate them 10/5 stars I would.
I’ve been going here for more than 5 yrs and love the breakfast burritos and pastries. Always good and the service is great.
Great place, great coffee and very welcoming staff. Hope to come again soon!
I have never seen such slow service. Every one working there are like zombies.
I love True Grounds. I've lived in the area for a couple years and have been a regular here throughout the pandemic, and it's always rock-solid. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't speak to that, but their chai lattes are miraculously not overly sweet (which is why I don't like chai lattes from 90% of the cafes that make them). The food is delicious and consistent. The space is cute and homey, with just the right amount of time worn-ness. The people working there are always friendly and efficient. All in all, a great local coffee spot, I hope they stay in business forever!
Quant little spot with about 12 small tables. No wifi. Good bagels and good coffee!
The new spot for me and the homies for brunch. Keep in mind, they sadly close at 1400 so no dwaddling on the lunch break.
Best cinnamon rolls in Somerville. Great breakfast spot
