First time visiting Taco Loco. Steak Quesadilla and Fried Chicken was delicious! Highly recommend as their menu is very broad and affordable. 30+ years in business. Great ownership and friendly, hardworking staff.
Ordering your food at the counter is so chaotic here. Had a few things and it was okay, not impressive at all. I don't think I would go out of my way to go back. The rice was mushie and quesadilla had no cheese. Barely any!Pupusas I did not like at all and chips for the salsa was super watery and not a chunky salsa.
Please for the love of god, clean/wash your tables and chairs. Beautiful new restaurant but upkeep is not so pretty, trash overflowing, my feet sticking to floors, chairs and tables are as dirty as the floors. I mean it’s gross, you can just tell nothing has been cleaned in a while. I took my food to-go instead after realizing the filth around me. Not to mention when I first walked in, it smelled like dirty “bathroom” ? which obviously is unpleasant when I walk into a restaurant, i expect to smell food? No? I couldn’t smell one bit of food. (Also put some felt pads under your chair legs, they screech. For a dollar at the Dollar store, you can get a whole pack)Food was alright, I always loved taco loco haven’t been here in a year almost and first time I can say it wasn’t as good as before. I got bottom of the barrel rice, dried out and hard, the black beans were dried out , no flavor, vegetables were ehh, hard, no flavor, but they’re vegetables so.. chicken was good though! Idk if it was just this one woman that took my order, but they used to put a lot of food on your plate, I got one chicken and one scoop of everything else, I guess i could of asked for more but I wasn’t really expecting it. Chicken, rice beans and veggies = $16 plus taxI didn’t get chips and salsa, but I can see they downsized they’re size of salsa. And they no longer sell the Spanish quesadilla bread I love :(Staff was eh . One woman who’s been working there for a decade is always so friendly and kind. You’ll be lucky to get a hello or smile from the other ones.
Really disappointed considering they have 4.5 stars. The food was completely flavorless, I wish I could blame that on covid or something but I had a few people taste it and all of them agreed it was completely flavorless. Got a chicken burrito bowl and received unseasoned chicken, rice, beans and the mild salsa didn’t have anything special, and some nice wet lettuce on top. Also I ordered my burrito bowl without sour cream and it came absolutely lathered in it. For $11 I definitely would’ve expected more, won’t be going back with how many other good burritos are literally next door.
One line staff with a consistently poor attitude, was rude when asked to make one ingredient substitute, talked about other non-Spanish speaking customers to other staff in Spanish, and purposely waited until after payment to interject that I had added guac (though I had already mentioned it) to my order. If they got rid of that line staff I'd say 3.5 or 4 stars as the food is good.
Before the pandemic, we used to frequent Taco Loco often. It has been two years since we last visited and, sadly, we were underwhelmed. The restaurant looks amazing from the humble shack it used to be. there is enough space to eat and to order. However, that is where the benefits stop.1. The food quality has dramatically decreased. In the past, they had true natives cooking the food. Now, the food tastes like a non-native made it. The salsas had little flavor, the meats were not seasoned enough, the tortillas and pupusas were tasteless, the drinks were watered down even when order without ice!2. The service speed also has diminished. Although were were the only ones there, it took over 20 mins to fill 4 lunch orders! Before, I got my order within 2 mins flat because they were known for speed!Unfortunately, the found success for Taco Loco has turned into mediocracy. Please bring back the native/traditional flavors. Que regresen el sabor tipico!
Wow. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The rice was not over seasoned, the chicken was perfectly crispy. Stewed chicken is tomato-y the empanada was generous. The sweet plantain perfectly caramelized. I’ll definitely be back.
Amazing quality and selection! Absolutely the best tasting authentic Mexican food I've had by far.
Here is the thing, they have amazing food, I love ordering their Chicharrones and their Pico De Gallo side is just ?✨ I feel as tho, everywhere has a slight issue, they are a bit pricey in my opinion. I recently bought 3 tacos and a large Chicharrones, the bill came to me at 30 something dollars.. they have amazing food quality and truly a very clean workspace which is why I do not complain much about the price. Everyone around me says you have to try their Quesadillas and their Nachos. I cannot wait to do so.(Ps: you should try the Tamarind flavored Jarritos, that is the only place I can find that flavor)
Food is outstanding, best burrito around. Service is a little slow, be prepared to wait even if ordering ahead.
