Great place great atmosphere and amazing food ?
Gorgeous restaurant. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Staff was also wonderful. I will be back next time I am in Boston!
Stopped in on an out town trip- one of the best meals I have ever had-period.! Creative, well crafted cocktail menu and the bartender executed perfectly. The dishes are made with fresh, quality ingredients and it is evident in the results. Full of flavor without being overpowering, sauces are not overly rich and dishes were served piping hot. Waitress was spot on-friendly, knowledgable and provided excellent service. We will definitely return on our next trip to Boston.
Great spot just off Davis square. Loved the ambiance. Food was tasty. What prevents this from being a spot that is my go-to however, is the fact that it was >$100 for two for a drink, a pizza, a salad and an appetizer. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but I didn't think it was special enough to justify its price tag.
Their Monday to Thursday happy hour 3 course meal was awesome. Great portions, high quality and friendly service.
Now retitled The Painted Burro. We happened in on Saturday brunch. An all-you-can-eat menu of Tapas sized plates. The food was great and servers very attentive even though it was 1 hour from the end of brunch. Will definitely revisit earlier for brunch
A very busy Tuesday night which tells you something about Posto. Luckily I did make reservations. A great atmosphere with an open air kitchen, makes for an intimate dining experience. Would love to come back when the weather is nice because I think the front windows may be completely open to the sidewalk. Our waitress was very good and gave excellent recommendations. Wish one of us ordered a pizza because they looked amazing, next time. To start with we got the octopus appetizer and bruschetta appetizer. The octopus was gone in a millisecond and the bruschetta was unbelievably delicious. There were at least 4 or 5 huge pieces loaded to the gill not one was left on the plate. For mains the pasta dishes were wonderful and a huge serving enough to take leftovers home. We did order dessert which were also delicious, tiramisu and chocolate cake. They even brought my sons out with a candle on it for his birthday, no singing which we were grateful for. This is a definite return restaurant for us, luckily our son lives in Somerville so will visit him often to go out to dinner!!!!
This place was money in the bank. Basically the pizza was AMAZING-tier, the pasta was "pretty fire"-tier, and the Diet Coke was poor/watery-tier. But who cares about the DC concentration level when you're eating this kind of food. Like most Italian places are great quality but give you these tiny plates. This place filled me up NICE AND BIG. And the best part? My mom paid for most of it because she was celebrating me posting my first paper on the ArXiv. So the food quality, the portion sizes, and the nice little reduction in price due to "Mom's Grant Money" leads this restaurant straight into SOLID 5-star territory. Watch out for the 5% cut they take off the top (rather than just paying their back-end staff fairly) -- worth it though, for that INSANE-level chicken honey pizza.
TL;DR: Fantastic food. The drinks were great too! Not too much not to love here.Food:Arancini - One of my favorites around Boston. Definitely get these.Brussels - These brussel sprouts are always cooked to perfection with a nice cheese in the middle.Olives - A plate of olives with puts and slices of orange zest. If you like olives, you can't go wrong with this dish.Pane - It basically tastes like a margherita pizza without the sauce or the cheese. It's a flatbread. Lol!Margherita Pizza - One of the best margherita pizzas in the area, prepared in a wood oven.Meat & Mushroom Pizza - It's exactly what you would expect from the description. I loved this pizza.Mushroom Pizza - I'm not usually a fan of white pizzas but this was exceptional.Dessert:Double Chocolate Cake - Once again, no complaints. The cherry sauce compliments the cake very well.Drinks:Sangria - Just a standard sangria. I wish it had more fruit pieces in it but it's still great.Pear with me - I love this drink. It tastes like a pear and comes with a dehydrated pear slice.
I've been to a lot of pasta and pizza places in Boston, this may be top 10. The past here is AMAZING. It's fresh, bursting with flavor, and packed with delicious ingredients. The pizza is next level. It's soft but not raw, few ingredients but complex flavor, and thin but not a flat bread. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The chef/owner was working that night. We asked to speak with him and he was humble and kind. I was blown away with the high quality of dishes. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. This place is a must!
