The online ordering system was relatively easy to order from but quite literally nothing was seasoned, everything was bland. The rice was warm ? and the chicken in my bowl was also unseasoned and tasted almost like cooked tuna. All of my veggie add ins were really soggy too… I personally wouldn’t order again, I ended up just throwing the bowl out.sorry!
It was disgusting, i love poke bowls but they had old slimy onions in there that tasted terrible and on top of that it was literally 15 dollars and i had to stop after 4 bites, it just didn't taste good even after picking them out. Seems like this used to be a decent tasting place but has changed bc all the good reviews are 3+ years old...
Used to love this place. I ordered the spicy tuna ahi like I always get delivered. This time it showed up with plain rice, plain tuna, and nothing else at all. I checked the receipt attached to the bag…. It had the correct order written on it. So what happened? Did you run out of ingredients? So now it’s 8:30 pm on a weeknight and I have no dinner.
My spouse and I have been working our way through many of the pokebars between Kendall Square and Porter Square as well as Davis Square. This was our least favorite experience so far. Whereas other pokebars have relatively fresh or crisp ingredients our bowls here came out very soggy. All the ingredients seems to be sitting in their own bath of their juices and it made for a very soggy bowl with flavors blending together a lot. They also lack one of our favorite proteins, eel.All in, it was fine, I'd be willing to visit another location when traveling or on a road trip, but as far as pokebars in the Cambridge and Somerville area go, they are not anywhere near the top of my list.
Very inconsistent experiences, sometimes the food is prepared as ordered and the portions are generous. Other times the meal is prepared incorrectly and the bowl is barely half full when ordering a 3 protein custom bowl. Corporate is quick to respond when an issue arises. Staff are not particularly friendly but they are efficient.
I work from home and this could’ve been a great lunch spot except they do not offer WiFi to customers and charge 1.50 for not even a 1/4 th of an avocado
I've been a long time customer of this pokeworks and I'm very disappointed in the direction it has gone. Prices have gone up drastically in the past year, which I understand because inflation is affecting all industries, but the portions have also gotten a lot smaller over the past couple of months. For 14.50 pre-tax, I think I should be getting a little more protein than this (8 shrimp). Toppings and base were extremely skimpy as well. I'm not sure what a normal amount of food should be, but if you're going to raise prices, you should at least be keeping the portions same as before. I'm far from a big eater, but I was left a bit hungry after finishing this bowl. Will no longer be frequenting this pokeworks.
Really just not appetizing at all. Even the Miso soup had zero flavor. Literally just water with green onion and tofu thrown in. The ginger, lettuce and avocado in my bowl all had decent browning - it wasn't fresh. Slimy lettuce. Chewy tuna. If I wanted to risk myself or my family getting food poisoning from old ingredients sitting in a bowl I'd have just bought something to eat from Stop and Shop. My first and last time eating from here.
SHOUTOUT TO ELIJAH who helped me make my first delicious poke bowl and who was super nice and friendly and has the best sauce combo!!! Staff is awesome, place is clean, everyone was very welcoming, food was fresh, can’t ask for anything better for lunch.
The quality and flavor of the food is good, but the protein portion sizes are pathetically small for the price, especially compared to other poke restaurants I've had in the area. I thought it might have been a one off thing, but both times I've gotten a 3 protein bowl, I've had to search inside the bowl for the fish, rather than the fish being the centerpiece.
