Ordered “fried pickles” and was given an array of friend vegetables. I was like “yo I think I have the wrong order?” The dude was like “that’s the way we do it” and I was like” there are no pickles..” and he was like “that’s the way we do it…”. Now they was legitimately not a single friend pickle in my dish. I’m upset that I am so upset by this.

I'm looking for the best fried chicken sandwich in MA. Pennypackers is quite good. The chicken itself is excellent, crispy and juicy and tasty and the biscuit is also very tasty. The cabbage is a bit greasy but has some interesting flavors like spring onions.

porchetta sandwich is worth the hype, extremely good. be warned, an entire ? will knock you outta commission

Porketta sandwich brought me back to my mother's kitchen. What a rare treat. Not fennely like hers.

Fried chicken sandwich and meatloaf sandwich were amazing!!! Best sandwich I've ever had! The chicken was crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. Came with a parsnip and apple puree I couldn't get enough of! Ciabatta bread was perfect and also crispy outside but soft inside. Ate at home and added a little mayo to each to top it off. Can tell this place is high quality. Will definitely come back!!

Amazing porchetta sandwich, I'd come back whenever I'm in the area.

Great food and friendly staff. We used this company for a corporate event and were pleased with the quality of the food and portion sizes. Thank you.

Oh. My. God. Do yourself a favor and go get Pennypacker's famous Porchetta sandwich today. In my opinion, this sandwich embodies the "less is more" philosophy. It's not falling apart with a million toppings -- The Porchetta is the star and it can stand alone because it's basically exploding with flavor. The ciabatta is delightfully crispy, and the whole thing is pulled together with a dash of balsamic on the bread. Between the texture contrast and the flavors, I can say it is the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my entire life. They are one of the few local places that do made-to-order. This is what good eating looks like, and is one of the Greater Boston area's hidden gems. Go support them, and treat yourself in the process!

I've tried three different sandwiches here (so far): the asparagus, mortadella and the porchetta as well as the three bean salad and ALL were absolutely phenomenal! Will (obviously) be back for more.

OMG Pennypacker's is a carnivore's dream. I am not quite a carnivore so I merely appreciated their porchetta sandwich enthusiastically. But it's not just the porchetta that's great! Their pickled cauliflower and fried chicken sammies are also amazing. But to start with the porchetta. It's served on a sturdy but fluffy ciabatta roll (I think, I ate it too quickly) and just...freaking stuffed, with pork. It's insane the amount of meat they give you. It's a great ratio of cracklings to soft, tender meat—just enough to really coat your teeth with that fattiness but still fill your mouth with warm, pillowy pork. The texture is to die for and the flavor is excellent as well, perfectly salty and fatty, although I agree with other reviewers that an acidic element would've been good. The portion is gargantuan. Easily two meals if you're being only mildly irresponsible.I didn't taste the fried chicken sandwich but it looked like it came with a sesame seed brioche bun and smelled absolutely amazing. The pickled cauliflower sammie probably saved my life that day, though—a great contrast to the porchetta as it's crunchy and acidic and flavorful and slightly healthier tasting.I didn't love the patatas bravas—felt they were underseasoned.Sammies will run you $10-$15 and you can get them by the halfsies or with a bed of greens in lieu of the bun. Really awesome place with nice service; I'll be back for sure!
