Omg everything here was delicious. I normally have a couple of bites of guacamole when I order in other restaurants, I ate the whole plate at this place. Now I’m on a diet and for the past couple of weeks I have been ordering salmon and salad in every restaurant. THE SALMON SALAD was SO delicious and the dressing, I believe is the best salad dressing I have ever tried.
The street corns are sooooo good? It a must try in Papagayo! Also the chili chili bang bang! It’s the cutest cocktail here and not even only its name but also the taste is wonderful ? Servers here are also friendly! Don’t miss this place when you walk by!
Food was incredibly yummy! The staff were all so welcoming and engaged and in high-spirits. Ask for Mathias as your server if you go! The restaurant was clean including the restroom.Food: The chips and queso dip are a must to start off your visit. The chips are thicker than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to and I loved it! I should have asked for dip to take home. So tasty! I had the blackened chicken quesadilla and that chicken was HEAVEN! Such a filling portion as well. Tasted fresh, was nice and hot, and I woke up this morning thinking about it which is why I’m writing this review, ha. The food also came out very quickly which was nice. It wasn’t too busy that night though but impressive nonetheless. I wish I had taken pictures of the food. Some of the ones I’d seen before visiting made me think the food would be average and I wasn’t expecting much beyond that but after eating there, Papagayo might just be one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.Staff: We had Mathias serve us. Such a kind and attentive person. He helped us understand different parts of the menu to choose the foods that would be best for us individually. He was so patient through my many questions, our many questions. We never had to wait long to get our drinks refilled and he made sure we were having a good time and were enjoying our food. My friend didn’t receive one food item he had requested and Mathias was so quick to want to help and fix things! As we were leaving, the rest of the staff were super friendly and wishing us goodnight and wishing a happy birthday to our birthday girl. Amazing customer service!Restaurant: The place was clean, all staff wore their masks, the bathroom was clean, hand sanitizer existed in multiple places. I felt 1000% comfortable and at peace here. I so so wish I lived closer to come back more often. But distance won’t stop me :)
They have the best chips and guacamole I've EVER tasted. Loved the decor and the vibe and the margaritas were excellent.
Recently visited this place for dinner and the food was pretty decent. I love their margarita sampler, it’s a definite try! Also their queso and chips were mind blowing! Overall the food was pretty okay but would love to go back and try out other items!
I enjoyed chicken and steak Fajita and shrimp tacos. Amazingly delicious! So many people indoor to dine in. That’s the only little concern. The atmosphere was very nice and food was very fantastic.
I needed a stiff drink after shopping and dealing with rude people.. I loved arriving and seeing that there was a small crowd, I may have just missed the rush... The bartender was attentive and kind. We ordered 2 chilled silver Tequila shots (Avion) and a couple of apps before taking a long drive home. We ordered Queso Dip(Melted Cheese Dip Spiked with Jalapeños,Roasted Chili, and Fresh Peppers) & Chicken Quesadillas. The Queso Dip didn't have much taste. I was disappointed because the description makes it look soooooo yummy, the nachos in the plate were fresh and crunchy but I felt the dip was blahhh. I did request a side of guacamole and that was fresh and tasty. The Chicken Quesadilla on the other hand was very tasty w/melted Monterey Jack cheese, Pico de Gallo all wrapped in flour tortilla. We ordered 2 house Margarita's, and I felt that their house Margaritas? are really good.? Thank you Papagayo!!
Is more Tex-mex food with a good taste, drinks delicious, they also renew the menu and make some changes. We ordered entrees, drinks, chicken fajita and beef, place clean.
Only stopped by for a quick drink and apps. They had margarita flights that I would highly recommend! Tried the guac and it was pretty good. It was freshly made so that is a plus. The menu looked appetizing and had a lot of options.
I've missed delicious Mexican Food since we left the North Shore. We decided to go back for Halloween date night & I was not disappointed at all. Although the menu changed slightly, the food is still amazing as ever.Miso Salmon with Cilantro rice was scrumptious!!We were disappointed Salmon Tacos are no longer on the menu, but he ordered veggie instead, and enjoyed every bite.You will never go wrong with a Margerita from Papagayo. The passionfruit Margerita was scrumptious!! We need a Papagayo on the South Shore.
