I was pretty happy with the coffee I got here, but the bagel was not good. I'd recommend this place for lattes, but if you want a breakfast sandwich I'd advise you to go literally anywhere else.
One of the best coffees you can get in Somerville. Super friendly staff, great coffee selections, and very talented baristas. Always worth swinging by to grab a coffee.

Ordered their small iced oat milk mocha. Not a lot of ice which I appreciate since it means more drink and less dilution. Was worried it might be too sweet but it wasn’t at all - just the perfect amount of sweet with a great deep chocolate flavor. Only dow side was the paper straw which doesn’t last long - recommend they switch to avocado straws or something sturdier.Window ordering only, but service was fast and friendly.
Good location, best cortado I've had in a while, guy at the window was super nice.

October 10, 2021 flat white with chocolate review:Because their lattes are 12 ounces I skipped the mocha and latte option and went for the flat white which is served in an 8 ounce cup.Really nice foam and first taste. And the foam and balanced flavors persisted all the way through the cup. Really nice, I will definitely be back.Nine Bar Espresso has a simple traditional espresso menu now in the Covid era served through a window onto the street.
One of the better independent coffee shops in Somerville that's optimized for pandemic walkup orders. Coffee and pastries are well executed here (just has an excellent Kouign-amann). Looking forward to trying their sandwiches next.
Great spot... limited hours (8-3p).. but nice selection, coffee taste great. I am from NYC and I really like it here..which says a lot. Cappuccino's are my favorite. Reasonably priced.
