Tried a little bit of everything: original, crispy and spicy chicken. Everything was great! Sticky rice with mango was delicious to top it all off. I grew up on southeast Asian food and this was all nostalgic and comforting.
Fantastic meal boxes! Best chicken and sauce everrrrrr. I love the original and the heat. Always comes with yummy Daikin chicken soup.Thai tea is not overly sweet, just right. No indoor dining. They are a small establishment but also very popular so you should order ahead of time during cold nights when everyone is ordering.
The website says they deliver within 3 mi, I’m only 2.5 mi away and they don’t deliver. (From the website)Food tastes horrible as the rice tastes hard like little pebbles. And it didn’t taste anything like ginger rice. The meat was okay, and the Thai ice tea was okay too.Mango sticky rice was below average. The rice isn’t even stickyOverall a 4/10Take out onlyDo not recommend.
A great spot for a satisfying meal! My favorites are The Crispy, The Isan, and The Mango for dessert. I really like their simple, clear menu, their creative branding, and their consistently great service. Their online ordering system works great for delivery, which has always been quick and seamless. This is one of my go-to spots!
I was excited to try this place out given all the great reviews and how much I enjoy this dish back home in NYC. But unfortunately this was a let down. Ordered delivery and I thought I was lucky to get it within 30 min! Wrong. The whole dish was cold. Not like "sitting in a delivery car cold" but more "sitting on a countertop premade for hours" cold. The few bits of chicken were rubbery, the fresh cucumbers were limp and the rice was just cold mush. The only reason for the 2nd star was the redeeming Thai Iced Tea, which thankfully is meant to be cold! All around it was an unpleasant experience to eat.
I've been meaning to try this place for a while and was pleasantly surprised! There were some lackluster reviews closer to when Hen opened but based on my experience I think they've improved their food since then.I got the spicy crispy chicken dish which comes with seasoned rice, cucumber, sauce, and daikon soup. The chicken was not particularly crispy or spicy but it was delicious -- super tender and well-marinated with a nice tang from the outside seasoning. The rice was also good and having a bite with the chicken, rice, and soup was just heavenly and comforting. The soup is steaming and delicious. Honestly each component tasted great on its own and together it was everything I could ask for in a meal.I did not have any of the sauce because it was too sweet for me, but in my opinion you don't need it because of all of the flavors from the rest of the dish. I would want to have more than 3 slices of cucumbers. It is slightly pricey -- the spicy chicken is $12.95 and with tax and tip I paid closer to $16. The portion size is reasonable but not so generous. Overall this place makes good food and I'd definitely come back and have this dish again!
I had the original & spicy chicken, they both were good! Only the sauce was bit too sweet for me but no big deal. I would go back for some quick to-go orders!
Hen Chicken Rice is the best meal of chicken rice that I ever have in Boston. Actually It’s taste similar to Chicken rice in Thailand. I will recommend the heat which is a little spicy as I ate in Thailand as shown in figure1 . Otherwise if you can’t decide what you want. I might recommend The mix which you can try both original and crispy chicken as shown in figure 2
พอดีซื้อมาลอง 1 กล่องเป็นข้าวมันไก่ผสม อร่อยมาก เหมือนที่เมืองไทยเลย รอไม่นาน 10/10 It is a scrumptious meal for my alone dinner. The taste is original and the portion stuffed me perfectly.
I am usually in the mood for just some good chicken and rice. Nothing more and nothing less. After some digging, I found hen, which has some of the best chicken and rice I have had. They stick to a small but masterful menu.Spicy fried chicken and rice - 5/5. With the sauce, this is absolutely amazing and really carries the score.Regular chicken and rice (not fried) - 3/5. Not my favorite since the skin was flabby, but meat was nice and tender.
