Consistently outstanding: ingredients are of high quality and some items (even appetizers) are true standouts (I’m looking at you, avacado salad and Cambridge roll!). The folks at the sushi counter remember your previous visits.Prices are very reasonable; bathrooms are clean. The only negative I can find is that the (good looking) recent renovation isn’t standing up to heavy foot traffic, with lots of superficial wear and oil spray on the painted and mutated surfaces. Kinda odd.
I am a local and definitely consider Ebi my go-to spot! I would highly recommend the chef’s special sushi such as the Honey Hotate & Torched Miso Salmon Belly.I would give it 5 stars but have come in at 9:30-9:40 twice and was turned away/denied takeout due to the kitchen closing, but came in at ten once and still was able to get take out. Just a little inconsistent in that sense, but still would recommend.
Girls night. Hells yes!!! Sake flight. Obviously, how else would we cheers. ? This restaurant exceeded my expectations with the most unexpected and unique sushi. Nigiri with scallop, goat cheese and honey was thought up by an evil genius who created a literal disco party in my mouth. Next time I'm ordering one of all the specials. The other standout was the ginger eggplant appetizer. If I could figure out how to make that myself I would never leave my house. Go here!! But take me with you, and order me a lychee martini while you wait (they make the lychee syrup in house!)
First time here and was impressed with the quality of the food as it is not super noticeable from the outside of the restaurant. The shrimp tempura here was a delicious appetizer to start off with, hot and crispy and came with many pieces. The toro roll was a good size for the price. And our absolute favorite of all was the torched salmon belly nigiri. The nigiri was fresh and melts right in your mouth. One of the best sushi places near Boston.
The freshest, most creative, sushi in the Boston area. Always incredibly fresh and delicious, super friendly staff, and great ambience. They were recently renovated and the space is beautiful! We always have a wonderful time.
Sitting at the bar and enjoying my sushi and sake just restores calm to my day. Staff are fantastic.
Service is amazing . The staff is so nice when I went to pick up. The sushi taste amazinggg and so fresh!! I got the lunch special Chirashi $18 and the lunch sushi combo -12$It’s worth the price! I’ll definitely come back next time to try other things
Fantastic service and incredibly fresh sushi. Went here for lunch with a friend and was served by the owner. We sat at the bar. Watching them cut and prepare the fish is a delight. I would definitely recommend Ebi to anyone looking for an authentic sushi spot.
Excellent dinning experience here! Wonderful food and nice staffs. Sushi here is so good, fish is in high quality probably the best in Boston, also the price is very good. Worth the visit!!
Order at least 5 rolls of your choice and they serve it to you on a boat! Which is unlike all other sushi restaurants where you can’t customize the boat they give you, costs a lot more and is just for 2 people. This place is usually packed and take out might wait a while, so order at least an hour before you want to eat to make sure it’s ready in time. One of the few sushi joints that actually was busy throughout COVID bc their rolls are amazing, just give yourself ample time before either dining it or taking out.
