Bagels are awesome and the mocha was the best in the square
Was very excited to try out the newly renovated café. Was pleasantly surprised by the great coffee and breakfast they offer. Sadly after 90 mins out of nowhere they shut of the internet I was using to work cutting me off in the middle of a meeting. As a coffee shop, they should be better at catering to individuals that are working from there for the day. I was planning on having lunch there as well but instead had to rush somewhere else to rejoin a work meeting in progress. Do not come here if you are planning on working remotely for the day. Management please revise this policy for paying customers that want to work remotely from your lovely cafe
First time back at Diesel after the pandemic and the renovations. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which turned out to be a $12 disappointment. For this price I expected a lot better. The rice inside felt like it was half cooked and the ingredients seemed to just be hastily thrown in and wrapped in a stale tortilla, all without much flavor. Even the coffee was quite expensive. All in all, I think I'll be sticking to Forge, Bloc, or the many other Cafe choices around here.
So glad that Diesel is back! The renovated space feels more open and better organized, and the food is great as always.
They did a fantastic job with the renovation over the pandemic. Very friendly service, I forgot to ask for non-dairy milk and they made me a new drink no problem.
Mediocre coffee spot. They use intelligentsia coffee which is a mediocre roaster, and their espresso extraction is too long resulting in a more bitter/burnt tasting espresso. They do have a large selection of drinks though
This place is the best!! Amazing staff food and everything else! Can’t wait to see the new digs and to be able to get my favorite drinks and food closer to home!
I love diesel Cafe! I go here most weekends for an egg and cheese and coffee. The bread is amazing! I'm excited to see what they look like after renovation.

UPDATE: I raised my rating to four stars from three after giving it a second shot. The bagels did it for me. Better than the dedicated bagel place down the street somehow. The service is still pretty much the slowest you've ever seen but I'd say the food is worth it. As for the coffee, light roast just isn't for me. But if that's your preference you'll probably love this place.Original review: completely average coffee and slow service compared to all nearby competitors. You can't sit inside currently due to remodeling, they expect to reopen indoor seating in a couple months. I wanted to like this place, because my friends swear by it, but for me at this point in time it just doesn't cut the mustard.
