We went at about 3pm. There's a decent amount of people here, but they started deep cleaning the bathrooms leaving a very strong bleach/cleaning supply scent. They're open 24 hours, but with the amount of people in the restaurant right now I don't really think it's the best time. The service was slow, but I'm not sure if it's because of short staffing. Food was pretty good, but it took a long time.
Service was very slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. There was no syrup or napkins at the table. When I asked for both I got 3 napkins and 1 regular syrup. I was disappointed to not receive their usual variety of syrup flavors. The food was ehh. The sausage had an EGGSGELL piece on it, The potatoes were dry like dry pasta the only saving grace was that the pancakes were pretty good. (They would have been better with syrup)The bathroom was disgusting. Some local teenagers went in and ran out screaming about how bad it smelled.I won't be returning to this particular IHOP.
I came in about 40 minutes before closing time and had a great experience. My server Daniel was awesome, one of the best servers I’ve ever had at any restaurant.
Chicken fajitas don’t have a much Ingredients like it’s says on the menu. Very poor served on the plate. Waitress is very nice and kind.
Service and food is always good. If you need to go to the bathroom just be ready... probably the worst bathrooms I've ever seen in a long time. This is a repetitive issue, doesn't matter the day or time of the day, the bathrooms are always in very bad shape, like nobody clean them during the day
Food was great as airways. Service was efficient, not very friendly. This location seems to be more about getting the job done, than creating a pleasant experience. Everyone uses COVID as an excuse and regretfully people aren't learning the lesson. It isn't what happens to you in life, it's how you react to it. I can remember going here and there was so much energy and everyone including the staff were having a good time. The energy has left the building!!
Really enjoyed our recent experience at IHOP. We had great service and our food was prepared just as we ordered. Serving sizes were very fair and we ended up taking my pancakes home to enjoy later in the day. We liked this place over the IHOP Everett, even though the one in Everett is a good choice too.
This location in Saugus is horrible. They deserve 0 stars. We love ihop so we were looking forward to our usual BUT this location was disgusting. It was such a let down. Nothing they brought us was edible. The scramble eggs were even still runny. They recorded some and his son still didn't eat them. The french toast cold, bacon was rubbery. I don't understand how you can mess up cooking scramble eggs. The hash browns which are our favorite usually were so overly cooked and dried out like they were stale. There was literally 2 other tables that had people there so it's not like they were busy.
The food was great. Eggs were seasoned lightly however. Everything came very fast and the staff was kind. Will definitely come again! We spent a lot of money however.
Don't miss out on the pancakes here.
