Drinks were amazing but food is mediocre. Calamari was chewy, batter was oily. Soft shell crab had the thickest batter I have ever seen. Order spicy honey chicken and I was served fried chicken/katsu with a side of sweet chili sauce. Apparently that is their spicy honey chicken. But the waitress was nice and removed the charge. Hence the second star or it would have been one star.
Came here with my brother. It was early, around 530ish. Pretty empty, but had another gentleman at the hibachi. Food was good, typical hibachi with the utensil flair and sake spray. Felt like I left less full than other places, but the flavor was good, the service was excellent with water refills frequent without having to ask.
Great place. My wife, mother, and son when’s there for the hibachi experience and there was good fun and great fun.
Witch city Hibachi right in the middle of salem Its in a great location. The food was good I recommend the scorpion bowl definitely one yo share. I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 for two reasons one very disappointed that they don't have chicken wings and because when you walk in the smoke of the hibachi is too strong.
Went here last night and even with a reservation, we waited over an hour for a table. This wouldn’t have been such a huge deal if the bartender acknowledged us and let us order a drink. I understand he was busy making drinks for the tables, but to not let us order for over an hour was absurd.Once we sat down the service was pretty awful. One person in our party did not receive salad and the waitress said she’d bring it to her and then disappeared never to be seen again. The scorpion bowl was undrinkable. It tasted like pure rubbing alcohol. We somehow managed to flag down a waitress (not ours since she was still nowhere to be seen) who brought us a pint of juice to pour in and even still it was horrible. Nobody at the table was willing to drink it.Vegetarians should beware. I did not order meat, but the chef cooked the meat first without even asking if that was okay. He did scrape it down, but did not change utensils or actually wash the flattop and it was really not okay.The fried rice was okay, but the bad drinks and terrible service ruined the experience for me and I will not be back.
I'm really pleasantly surprised with this place! Our chef was incredibly talented, more so than a lot of hibachi chefs I've seen in recent years. He even made balloon animals! The food was very good though I and others at my table were a bit disappointed with the small serving of vegetables. The prices are very reasonable and in line with other teppanyaki places in this area.
I highly recommend, the food was delicious and everyone was friendly and ver courteous.
