First time ever coming to The Lobster Shanty…All I can say is WOW! I ordered the fried shrimp and it was the best fried shrimp I ever ate. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor just melted in your mouth. Dale who was are bartender was great! Made are drinks perfect and was on-point! They even had great mock-tails for my pregnant wife! Now we have a go-to spot when we visit salem for the day!

The service was quick, the portions were generous and the price was within the average of other restaurants. Nice outdoor covered seating in the Artist Colony.

It is a fun place to visit and you won't be disappointed with the food. The staff is quirky, fun and nice.

We had the Connecticut style lobster rolls. It was good, not the best we’ve had on this trip, but still very good! We also had the calamari. This was also good, but thought for the price the portion was smaller than what we expected. The waitress and other staff were great, very attentive and helpful.

This place is the bomb! Best lobsta roll I have ever had! I wasn't brave enough to try the lobster martni but I did have a couple of local brews. Small place Big personality!

This is beyond exceptional. I had the Shanty Burger with cheese, Grilled Brussel sprouts and Poutine. Additionally pictured is the Lobster Martini, which another customer ordered. This was featured by Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive In's, and Dives. What an experience. I cannot put into words how amazing my meal was. The customers who are regulars here and the staff who work here - one in a million people. Totally made me feel like family and kept the conversation lively. I am happy to now call Salem HOME

The restaurant is very nice, low key and relaxed. Service was very good. We had lobster rolls, very generous amount of lobster, even if it was a bit chewy, great tater tots.

I went for the lobster roll. Got the new England style, which was supposed to be warm. Had to send it back to warm it up. Very small restaurant. Bar was packed with locals. Lobster roll had a lot of lobster in it.

Stopped here while visiting from out of town. Fantastic! My husband and I got the traditional and Connecticut lobster rolls. Both delicious! The butteriness of the Connecticut one was phenomenal. Super friendly staff and quaint atmosphere.

We spent 4 days in Salem ate out everywhere and the lobster shanty was my absolutely favorite. I loved the staff, cocktails delicious, super clean. You can eat inside or outside and I love the location. It’s pretty magical atmosphere. I had the steamed lobster and fries. Very good. Next my friends had burgers and it was tasty. Another trip I had the lobster Rangoons and I have also tried the lobster rolls Connecticut style. Great vibe
