I honestly love this place so much, it makes me feel like the past isn't slipping away as fast as it is. I wish they still wrapped the sandwiches in paper they look a lot more appetizing that way rather than just slapping them in Styrofoam. Service is fast, and friendly, the price is right, and everyone is all smiles while they're waiting because this place is so quaint and charming, and the food is delicious. There used to be a kid that worked there every Summer for years and years but I haven't seen him in a while. I hope all is well with him because he was really great. You know it's a good day when you have a tendersteak in one hand a chop suey sandwich in the other, the sun is shining and a sea gull is screaming in your ear for some bread. 5 big gold stars for Salem Lowe.

Tender steak with cheese can't be beat
I ordered #5 a combination menu; pepper steak, egg roll and fried rice. Too much sauce and too little meat. Egg roll had cruncy things in it, which I did not enjoy at all. Not a good experience for me. Sorry
I never expect to see Chinese as an option on a beach front walk restaurant line, but here it was. It wasn't the best, it wasn't the worse, it was just the most surprising given the location.
The oldest and best Chinese food in Salem Ma,been at the Willows over 80 years, very nice owners. Go for the chop suey sandwich!
The food is about as Chinese as Pizza Hut. Could be the worst in the world. But it is also the best in the world at the same time. You DO NOT want to know the ingredients. I certainly don't. Putting cheap chop suey and overcooked pepper steak in a hamburger bun was inspired. Should win a James Beard Award or a Nobel Prize. It is gooey, glutinous, MSGish , messy and to die for. And cheap. If you don't like it, the seagulls will.
Chop suey sandwich. Either you like it or you don't. People outside the north shore call it awful. I love it! It's chop suey on a hamburger roll. Tender steak sandwich is good too. 4 star because the pepper steak sandwich is loaded with peppers and not much steak. Love the chicken wings, ask for chili sauce. Yummy place! So far nothing bad. And I've ordered alot off their menu! Been going there for a long long time.
Best peppersteak in the world to me. I have been going to the willows with my grandmother since the 1970's. My grandmother has long since past and I bring my family now as often as possible. Old school amusements, great for the young and old.
