Recently I’ve been trying to go out more to bars and Restaurants as the Covid 19 pandemic settles down. My girlfriend and I live next door to Salem and decided to take a night out and get something to eat. After looking at highly reviewed places, we stumbled across Longboards. With great reviews and photos we decided to give it a shot.Upon entrance we were greeted by a host who seated us immediately at a high table. Following that we were provided a menu and assistance to access the drink menu via QR code.We decided to go on a night that the Celtics were playing so we knew to expect a decent crowd. The bar energy was great along with people at other tables watching the game and socializing. Im relatively new to the bar experience but this was something I was highly comfortable being a part of. Didn’t feel like we stuck out of the crowd at all.The service was quick as we ordered food and drinks. The 10 piece buffalo wings were a 8/10 (could’ve been a little crispier) and the burgers were a 7/10 (could’ve been a bit thicker of a patty. was also a little dry). I ordered a Shipwrecked (Ro&Co Whisky, Koval Ginger Liqueur, Lemonade & Sprite) which was strong even after it was mixed and watered down which gives it a rating of 7/10.What makes this experience a 4/5 stars is the great service and the lively atmosphere. A little more work can be put into the food and drinks but overall I’m not walking away with a bad experience.I can definitely see myself coming back here and would recommend for anyone looking for a good place for a night out on the town.Thank you to the staff for the great experience and look forward to coming back again!Best,Benjamin P.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent; Even the price was great. Will go again! If you like trivia, they now have it on Tuesdays!Great host by the name of Joe!Oh and It's also Taco Tuesday!!$4 a taco!! And let me add they are really overflowing!!You should check it out!!

Went there with friends. Crazy busy, but it's to be expected it's spring/summer in Salem i guess. The reuben sandwich i had was tasty, the tots were great with wharf sauce. Would go back again

Always pleased with my experiences at longboards. They have all your favorite beers and can make all your favorite drinks and have full kitchen with tons of choices. I’m not sure if they fry anything at all but I never saw anything on the menu that was fried which is great for people trying to be healthy and not eat a ton of fried food. I got the chicken park sandwich (which was baked) and that came with tater tots (which were also baked). Everything was delicious and still had a nice crisp as if it were actually fried. The pretzel sticks were delicious as an appetizer and I also tried the chicken bacon ranch pizza which was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Looking forward to trying out the burgers and cheesy bread next time I’m around.

OMG!!!!!! Visiting from Louisiana this weekend, avoiding Mardi Gas in the city.... And since I am sort of a foodie as well as home cook, I decided to see what all the fuss was about with this Chowda (sounds like I have a Chalmette accent-Google it... It's similar) ...well... OK, not exactly... I was opposed! Momma wants raw New England oystas (lol) My husband ordered some and gave me a bite and I was instantly hooked! So, I ordered my own bowl because 1 bite wasn't enough... And before I could dissect every ingredient... He had eaten the whole dang bowl!!! We have gumbo... Y'all have chowda.. Well, I could not believe how amazing it was... I could have eaten 2 more bowls!!! I have never tasted chowder before and I cannot believe that Longboards is not #1 for this delicious bowl of yumminessIn Salem!!! (It wasn't on any of the top lists) We love our seafood and and it goes in every thing we eat and celebrate in Louisiana!!! If y'all aren't #1... You should be!!! #1 in my book for sure!!! By the way... It must have been pretty amazing!!! This was my very first food review EVER!!!!!! Oh, and the atmosphere and hospitality was great too!!!!!!

I thought that lobster mac & cheese was my favorite lunch, but I got schooled. It turns out lobster grilled cheese. A perfectly made grilled cheese, crispy on outside, gooey on the inside and loaded with big hunks of lobstah! Not crazy about the colesaw (too dry) or the french onion soup (too salty) but oh I dream about that lobstah grlled cheese. Would love to have that with a hot cup of tomato soup. My husband enjoyed his herbal flavored chicken pot pie. Attentive and friendly service.

Great location right on the Waterfront! Service has always been excellent and the food is already on point. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited Salem a few weeks ago and decided to eat here. I would've given 5 stars but the service was mediocre. They weren't extremely busy but our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to serve us. We had to get up 3 times to walk to the bar to ask for a refill on our drinks. Our waitress was sitting behind the bar playing on her phone and they seemed annoyed when we asked for stuff. However, the food was amazing. Whenever we're in the area we plan to try again, hopefully the service will be a little better next time.

Love this place! Great food! Good atmosphere. Food is excellent. Service is good as well. The chicken pot pie I got was good except it had what seemed to be too much lemon flavor too it that was overpowering and took away from whole dish. But it was still good. French onion soup so delightful!!!Clam chowder was excellent snd my husband loved his lobster roll. Definitely be back when I’m in town again.
