The food was good but they got my order wrong. I asked for pancakes, no whipped cream and they came out covered in whipped cream. Even the check said no whip but the person in the kitchen spent the whole time arguing with the waitress loudly that it was probably overlooked. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time and it was just awkward to hear them argue during the entire time I was there.
We came for lunch, had a greek salad and fish and chips. The salad was a mound of iceberg lettuce with a few olives and cheese crumbs on top, the fish and chips was okay. The food was adequate, but nothing special. The service was a bit brisk. Would not go again.
Hash stuffed grilled cheese and steak tips lunch plate were amazing! Food was delicious and made fast for takeout, staff was friendly and helpful! It's right on Essex street, perfect for stopping in for a meal during your day in town.
Charming restaurant, delicious food and great atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again!!
An employees "after work snack" was served to my table, after ordering the eggs Benedict. Confused, and hungry, I ate the tiny ham and egg sandwich sitting before me.Once the staff realized their mistake, I heard them talking across the restaurant "why would anyone eat something they didn't order?"Here I sit, baffled, and still hungry. I see my waitress with my eggs Benedict in hand, staring at my empty plate. I was embarrassed for their mistake, and was never offered my Benedict. They only continued to berate me for eating something I didn't order, then charged me for it. Yep, I spent $8 on an employees after work snack.
Decent food but the service is a bit slow... The portions for breakfast are big.. We wanted to try the clam chowder but the day we went they did not have any.. Currently you have to show your vaccine card to be able to come inside and eat.
I gave this place 2 stars because of the location, interior and service. Service was great and plates came out quickly but food was less than desirable. I ordered a steak benedict and apple cinnamon french toast. The steak was oddly sweet and tasted spoiled as did the potatoes :'( The apples were too tart to eat and it was overall not worth the money spent. Save your time and check out another brunch spot.
Would not go back. Service was good but food was terrible. Eggs Florentine were bad. Very bland. Went down the stairs to bathroom saw three cases of eggs sitting in the floor unrefridgeerated.
Highly recommend this place! My fiancé and I had breakfast here to celebrate his birthday, and it was a wonderful experience all around. Nice warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food at a very reasonable price for the area. Our only complaint (which wasn't worth lopping off a star) was that the drinks we had (coffee and OJ) were pretty subpar. But the food was so tasty we didn't care!
Best breakfast I had in Salem! Eggs were great, coffee was delicious, but the winners were the French toast and pancakes. Absolutely delicious! Everyone was friendly and happy which made for a nice environment to eat.
